I was told to update my firefox version. I downloaded firefox 45. Now what? How do I install it??
I wrote yesterday that I get "RSL Error 1 of 2" when I go to certain sites. I was told that I probably need to update to the new version of Firefox. Well, I downloaded Firefox 45. So, now it's in my downloads. What do I do with it? How do I install it so that I actually have the update on my computer?? It doesn't seem to update automatically. I'm lost and VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!! I very much appreciate your help. I have no one to ask but you!

If you have downloaded Firefox from the main page of Mozilla and the downloaded .dmg/.exe file (depending on your system) showed up in your downloads folder or in the downloads of Firefox, double click the file to open up the installer for Firefox and start the installation process. Note though that this is the approach for a manual installation/update.
If you want to update from inside Firefox, you are also able to update Firefox by going to Firefox>About Firefox>Update Firefox on Mac or to the menu (three horizontal lines icon) then to the question mark an then on About Firefox>Update Firefox on Windows.

dario_smiles, this is a Linux user and not on Windows. Also Mozilla does not serve .dmg files for Firefox and the Help > About Firefox method will not work on third-party builds.
