Need help debugging extension installation - Taquilla.

I'm using the extension Taquilla (which is a bit old and does not appear to being maintained anymore). However with Thunderbird 38.5.1 and Windows 8.1 there appears to be an issue with this extension breaking the keyboard shortcuts for tagging. It also may be having other issues.

I opened the error console and get the message: Error: ReferenceError: taquillaOverlay is not defined Source File: chrome://messenger/content/messenger.xul Line: 1

I've found taquillaOverlay in the extensions .xpi file,

Also when I run the "Taquilla calculate soft tags" command, I get another error message:

Error: ReferenceError: taquilla is not defined Source File: chrome://messenger/content/messenger.xul Line: 1


So it appears that the extension doesn't really work with 38.5.1 or has some install issue with Windows 8.1

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

I know the author. See https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/taquilla/reviews/755248/ where he asks for information about how people are using taquilla.

If you send such information and also describe your problem he will probably reply. If you are willing the help debug it and also know enough js to be able to supply a patch that will go a long way with him.

Note, he's very busy with priority Thunderbird development issues, so it may take a while for him to respond.
