When I open my Amazon S3 console I get a message box in the top left corener saying 'This Plugin is Disabled' and under that 'Manage Plugins'. I can't close it and I can't open it to manage plugins. It's covering my buckets so it's stopping me working. It only happens on Firefox - other browsers are ok. And it's a recent problem. It used to work fine.

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

Hello, Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.

The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there. you can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Hi. Thanks for both replies.

I've checked the status of my plugins and all are showing up-tp-date except three that are showing as 'unknown'. They are: Windows Live Photo Gallery Amazon mp3 downloader (not related to the S3 server I don't think) Google Update

All others are up to date including shockwave flash. I tried to attach screenshots but it won't accept pdf or Word.

By the way, I can play videos, including Youtube, with no problem.
