Until recently, when I clicked on a link in Thunderbird, it was opened in Thunderbird. Now the link is opened on a wide-screen external monitor. I can't find the setting that was changed to make this difference.

I recently upgraded to version 115.10.1 and it is driving me utterly insane. It repeatedly turns on threading. I turn it off for a folder, next time I log in it's on again. I turn it off in a folder and copy that setting to all other folders, but it turns itself on again. Others say turn it off in Settings/Appearance. But I don't seem to have Settings/Appearance.

How do I stop this? Or is there a way to find out what version I was originally running and go back to that. I hadn't upgraded for a good while but my old version was much better. This one is also really slow and I hate the tiny text.

On upgrade to 152.0, a pop-up asked for options I have not seen before. I cannot find info about what the net.thunderbird option is, nor why I would or would not want to click it? Any help out there?

This product use to be simple. But now will not let me see the whole layout . Have to chase it across back to the begining. Been with this program over 15 years. Now i Hate it! Arthur Lovett as my father would say Keep it Simple and workable.

When I open the sentmail folder, I want the receiptants name (email address) to show in the list of emails sent instead of my name (email address). How do I resolve this?

Hello, Often I want to create a new filter Discover that I want to put this in a new folder

But because the create filter dialog locks out its parent window Then I have to lose what I entered, then find where I want to create a new folder create the folder there and now start over from scratch building my new filter

Also when you create a filter, you should be able to see test matches for the filter you just made There should be a check box to, "run this filter now after creation" The dialog should not lock out its parent window !

I want to collapse all folders in my email account.

I have a lot of them, and I don't want to close/expand them all individually. I want to quickly close all or expand all

Is there a button to do that ?

i manage 8 email accounts for different projects I run.

When I open thunderbird, all my folders in each email open up. Is there not a setting to say don't open folders?

I have this problem. On only 1 PC from 5, with same mailboxes installed and same configurations, on one of the mailboxes, Thunderbird does not accept setting to "not read" the letter. I tried making time to read the letter and it worked for 10 min, and then again stopped. At final, no matter how it is set, when I push to read the message it always read it.

Tried repairing the folder, but doesn't work.

Any Ideas will be great.

How does one add additional fonts to Thunderbird for use in composing email messages?

OTHER: Someone needs to revise and update this form! "Thunderbird version" (below) now prohibits inputting the complete length of Thunderbird's version; limits to "18 characters"; version is now 20 characters. Website input forms that have unrealistic character limitations really irritate me.

I don't want all the raw code included in my reply/forward, just the readable text in a format similar to the original. GMail handles this with no issues, so how can I get the same in Thunderbird? Thanks.

no in setting i have the font or ink color to bk lack text so when i write it is supposed to be black so why do i see when ii click on the persons name after i send it do i see it as blue u ink text font i want all ink text black i so not like the blue and do not know how to stop it what do i do please help

With version 151.0.1, the content opens in a new window. This is less convenient. Is it possible to revert to the previous version's behavior? Thank you for your reply.

Whenever i send a message , it is saved to the 'inbox' previously it would be saved "sent mail". I have verified that TB is configured to save to sent mail but the msg is saved anyway to inbox.

Can some one explain how to get back to saving sent messages to sent mail folder.

In all honesty I find it frustrating to keep moving msgs manually.

I have TB version 140.11.0esr (64-bit) running on Win 10. I have multiple accounts and each is set to check for new messages every 10 minutes (nothing else is ticked under "Server Settings). Everything is ticked under "When new message arrives" (and default sound is used).

When new messages were available to download, TB used to play alert sound (and I would know to download new messages) but now TB is sounding (the new messages) alert every time it checks for new messages even if there are NO new messages to download! How do I revert to the alert ONLY being sounded when there ARE new messages to download?
