Thunderbird for Android Community Forum

I just upgraded to V14.0.and I hate the new accounts screen. Is there away to either show the account screen with all the accounts visible (like V13.0?) or downgrade? I searched the general settings and couldn't find any way to change this. And yes, I know there's an account drop down. TIA.

I have tried on K9, and Thunderbird Mobile.

On my tablet, with K9 mail, I exported my fully working accounts, and imported to my phone. All worked, except one account, where it only has an outbox. No inbox, no sent folder, nothing.

I then Installed Thunderbird mobile, and used the QR code link in the desktop app, to sync to it. Same issue. All other accounts work fine, but not that one account. Only an outbox.

I've logged into the web version of that account, and no restrictions are on folders. And it's only on my phone. On tablet it's fine.

I can't even choose folders in settings, for sent, etc, as there are none to choose.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I am trying to sign into my Proton mail account. On the Thunderbird app, I tap the Menu and select Settings. Then, I select Add account, type my Proton email address, and tap Next. The "Configuration found" screen is displayed. I proceed to type my Proton password correctly and tap Next. Then, there is an error that says "Checking incoming server settings failed". Does this mean Thunderbird does not fully support Proton mail?

the latest release of thunderbird android 12.0 states under new:

• Add support for avatars in account settings

where can i find that setting? or is this a bug?

Using Thunderbird-Android 11.1 on Pixel8 Android 14 for first time. Set up POP3 account with no problem except I cannot locate where in account settings I can set "Leave Messages on Server" as I can on the laptop version of Thunderbird on Windows or Linux. I am sure I've must have overlooked something but would appreciate where to set that parameter. Thank you.

First off, I love Thunderbird for my PC; however, Thunderbird for Android (on my tablet) not so much. Are there any plans to create a way for Thunderbird for Android to rearrange the order of the mail accounts, like the PC version does?

Can the mobile version of thunderbird be set up as a POP account rather than Imap? I tried setting it up but it defaulted to imap. When I tried changing the setup parameters to Pop it wouldn't recognize the account.

Hi I have had a Samsung-Xcover and now a Samsung S1. In the first one I had Thunderbird with two accounts that worked good and also importet mails from the mailboxes in my computer (not Firefox). Now I'm trying to get the two acounts visible on my new phone but only one appears. When adding a new account the app is circeling without stopping. That one that are ok is: info@orsamoraskating.com That one I want to add is: bjorn@hantverkstan.se

Is there a possibility to do the settings manually? I got all the settings.

Can we PLEASE have the ability to use/customize account icon photos on Thunderbird Android, instead of just the letters/text of the account name??? Being able to use/have photos there helps more with which account we're looking at! For example, with me, all my accounts start with "LI" 😅🫠🙃 so having the photo icons IN ADDITION to the color options would be GREAT!!!!! 😁🙏🙏 Attaching photo of what I'm talking about. I've installed Thunderbird on my Pixel 9 Pro. I used my Linux Fedora Thunderbird to generate a QR code to get my Android Thunderbird established. Android Thunderbird is working ok but my contacts from the Linux Thunderbird did not come over and writing emails from there is difficult without my contacts. How do I port over the Linux Fedora Thunderbird contacts to my Android Thunderbird?

I still use Thunderbird for Win 7 on my PC and it works great. However, it does not include the QR to import my pop3 Juno email accts to my new android with Thunderbird Mobile installed and manual setup is not working.

My email provider appears to require a unique password for every device (I think is locked to the MAC address).

I have a new version installed from the android play store yesterday.

The QR code method of creating a account from my Ubuntu Thunderbird app does not work. Importing a working account from google does not make any sense on a new device (the MAC address for the original device will be different)

How do I manually edit of enter the configuration so that i can use my android phone as an email client?
