Why can't I change my start page anymore on mobile android? Why remove such a personal feature? (Firefox 79, Android)

A home page is a fairly personal thing. To force your logo instead, is a bit disheartening. Not sure why engineers/programmers continue to make choices for users, versus give users options. Let me know your plans to either keep this feature gone or bringing it back. It exists in every browser that I know of... For now, it is back to chrome on mobile... -Mike

I used to be able to click on website, then select memu(three vertical dots) and then select TOOLS then Logins and then search for a login based on URL. Has that feature been removed? If so I wish they would put it back, otherwise I'll stay with ver 68.

I've noticed that the number of collections is limited to only 20. That low number itself is a pity. But adding the 21st and in consequence delete the oldest one from the 20 I don't understand and don't accept. Could you please issue an error message and state that a further collection is not possible due to having reached the maximum of 20. I should add that I noticed that behavior before I've registered for a Firefox account. Maybe people with and without an account are treated differently.

Best regards, Frank

What happened to Firefox Quantum? With this so-called "Daylight" I can only choose some extensions you seem to generously decide to offer when you (Mozilla) feels like doing so. It has something to do with contracts, am I right ? Anyway, it's a shame: I was perfectly content with Quantum. Do I run a risk if I reinstall the latter ? Look, I know what "they" have tried / done to Netscape and how you guys Veni Vidi Vici (with some bruises) and my sincerest credit for that. I will continue to support and use your product(s). But please, fix the extension thing asap. Or can I still use Quantum without security issues ? Thanks in advance and keep up the fight.

Before the Daylight update I was able to disable loading of all images from the advanced settings options in the settings.

That's gone now. That feature isn't in any of the major competitors either. Vivaldi, Edge, Brave, Chrome. No setting for that. I'm very frustrated with that. What now?

I'll be a lone voice on some help forum where my request for the return of this simple feature will be ignored for years?

This feature going to come back anytime soon?

I have to use the reload button often, because pages will often show outdated cached versions. How can I get the reload button back on the main toolbar, so I can reach it with one click?

NOTE: Existing solutions provided in the forums which were based on about:config usage have been effectively thwarted. Please provide suggestions which work for the Release version. (Yes, it makes life more difficult)

I've read through any help posts that seemed relevant before posting this question. This seemed to be the closest I found and it shows the "Download Complete" message I am talking about: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/downloads-firefox-android Anyway, this is on Firefox for Android after the last update; the one that moved the search bar to the bottom. I found and put it back, but this one I cannot find after many hours of looking. Is there a way to turn off that message (first picture below)? It doesn't ask me before downloading, but it gives that message after it is done. You can either click the X to close it, or ignore it. As long as you are scrolling down it is out of your way. But, as soon as you stop or scroll back up, it comes back up and covers ~1/4 of the screen. Interestingly, Firefox Focus does NOT exhibit this same behavior, nor does Firefox for PC's.

Also, about:config doesn't seem to work, I get a "Cannot complete request" error. (last picture)

I have read a lot more dissent on this forum than I used to. Previously updates were small, evolutionary changes. Lately they have been large changes in a direction many do not like. I know y'all are volunteers so no ill intent towards you but I foresee a lot of people jumping ship.

Hi,

I'm a power user of the Firefox browser and Pocket app on the phone. Whenever I want to save a link to Pocket, I copy the URL and open the Pocket app to save it.

It took me some time to notice the 'share' icon to save links to Pocket. It'd be useful to add 'share' as one of the options, instead of using an icon to indicate it.

Screenshot attached.

I'm sure this new version of Firefox for Android is super duper fabulous.

But it does eliminate the tab queue feature. It eliminates the search bar in the bookmark screen.

It even eliminates using about:config in the URL bar

where can I get the prior version to this latest update so I can downgrade and get these features back?

I am appalled that I had to create ANOTHER freaking useless account just to post feedback here. I don't want a Firefox account. I don't collect web sites. I don't want you to suggest web sites. I don't want you to save my passwords. I don't want you to autofill my fields. I don't want to store anything in the "cloud" (aka someone else's computer). I don't want to sync anything across multiple devices. I don't want my browser to access my microphone, camera, contacts, location, or anything else except the damned internet. I don't want my browser to choose ANYTHING for me. I just want it to do what I tell it to. And do it well.

I WANT TO SET MY OWN HOME PAGE. I want my browser to be able to load web sites. I want my browser to be able to play videos. I want my browser to be able to upload and download files. I want my web browser to be functional and fast. Lightweight, small footprint, mobile friendly. I don't want it to be a data repository, or a personal assistant, or a password vault, or a crutch, or a tracker, or another THING that I have to manage.

This applies to both desktop and mobile.

I want Firefox to be the lean, mean, browsing machine like it was when it first burst onto the scene.

HOME. PAGE.
