this is a problem im seeing all over the internet, but nothing in your database. i just replaced my ipad with the newest ipad air m3 (2025). i have updated the operating system and all apps are updated since i just set it up today. when using firefox, and additional tabs are opened, they will not close by hitting the x to close them. the only way that sorta works is going to tab view and closing them there, but they will not close from the main screen.
how do i fix this? like i said, im seeing alot of posts on the internet complaining about the same thing.

Transient issue where the top of the page overlaps with the task bar (whatever it's called on the iPad) so the plus sign for new tab is under the iPad's battery indicator. Can't close tabs. Seems to happen when reopening the iPad, usually corrects after a few times of switching apps, but very inconsistent. Deleted and reinstalled app, but problem continues. Others have reported the issue.
Why won't some tabs unload? For most of my tabs, "unload" isn't an option on the menu, while for a few it is.

Feature Request: Tab Groups in Firefox for iOS
Please add native Tab Groups to Firefox on iOS. Organizing tabs by project, context, or mood would streamline mobile browsing. Ideally, they’d support custom names and sync across devices for a cohesive experience.

For the past few weeks, it seems to me, I have noticed that if I close a tab on Firefox for iOS, and at some point later I force-quite Firefox, then the next time I open Firefox, the tab that I had closed will reload as though I had never closed the tab or app. I am curious if this is something the developers are aware of and can fix? Or if there is some other solution?
What happened to the hidden tabs functionality? That was extremely useful for tabs I want to visit at a later date but have no use for currently

My iPad shows two websites at the same time, with a splitting black vertical line between them. How do I come back to just one site?

Since the 140.0 update i have been unable to move tabs on ios mobile by tapping and dragging them as i was able to in previous versions. is there a new way to move tabs on mobile or has this function been removed? if it was removed (purposely or accidentally) is there any plan to bring it back? its really frustrating not being able to organize my tabs anymore :(.
Please tell me, how can I drag an open tab to another location? Reinstalling the application did not help
I can’t move my tabs and when I delete my tabs on accident it doesn’t give me the option to undo immediately

How do I open private browsing?
I had about 85 tabs and I opened a few more then I noticed I only had 4 tabs. I didn’t restart anything. How can I recover my tabs? I am using my iPhone.
Every time I switch out Firefox iOS and switch back, the browser keeps on opening new tab instead of staying at tab I was on. Is there a way to prevent this ?
How do I turn off the so-called “feature” named above?
Is there a way to open a new tab on firefox with one click?

It seems since the last major system update on my iphone11 pro max (512G), firefox (my primary browser) has been… weird.
Long keypress delays (inconsistent; about 1/3 of the time as bad as 3s to over 10s!); I notice these to a much lesser extent on other browsers, but also on other browsers (why I’m singling out the iOS 18.1 release behavior changes; currently: iOS 18.3.2)
Frequent “crashes” (app simply closing) in the middle of activity);
Scroll unresponsiveness, similar in occurrence and delay times to keypress issues;
I have wondered if I’m having: • malicious software problem (?) • hardware intermittent failures (my battery needed replacement, which I’ve recently done and many things on the phone operate better, likely better use of multi-cores) • iOS software depending on new chips, and iphone 11 not having - software solution w/in iOS which is… inadequate
One thing I’ve noticed which is consistent (something I have not used before these behaviors, but partly this - and phone reboots - because of it):
Attempts to close all tabs consistently, always fails.
Any help appreciated.
