Hi--is there a way to do this? My boyfriend accidentally deleted all my Firefox bookmarks last fall (hundreds), then restored the last backup from July, which he said for some reason was a lot larger than the most recent backup he saw, from October. (I hadn't deleted *that* many bookmarks between those two times, plus I had continued adding more, so I have no idea why the October file was so much smaller. Also, incidentally, I have no idea why there were no backups listed from the last one in July to the first one in October. I'm always actively adding and deleting bookmarks.) However, I made a ton of edits and additions to my bookmarks from July to October that I'd like to at least be able to access. I know I probably can't merge them with my current ones, but I'd at least like to be able to add them to what I have. I assume that if I could import these, they would appear in a separate folder, right? Thanks!

I've logged in on a brand new installation of macOS (Ventura), but it does not sync my logins, passwords, etc. The settings for the sync are also enabled and it works fine on Windows and Linux. Also tried rebooting, but no luck so far.

Lately play buttons haven't been working, it may have started with the latest update. It works on YouTube videos but I can't start a trailer on IMDB or play a song on Bandcamp, and lots of other sites aren't working. Firefox 111.0 64-bit and Windows 8.1

With the latest update, the scroll bar is too wide (1/2"-1") and I can't find a way to change it. It only happens in Firefox. All other programs and browsers are normal. I have tried going to "regedit' to change it, but it doesn't affect it at all. It's making Firefox almost unusable.

Hi, I've been having problems with my Firefox. After some time (~1 day?) all websocket connections stop working until I restart the browser. In JS console I can see "Firefox can't establish connection to ws://..." (or wss://).

This really affects all pages, for example Discord, Onshape, Jupyter notebook, and 100% gets fixed when FF is restarted.

I'm looking mostly for some debugging tips. So far I've tried increasing `network.websocket.max-connections` from 200 to 500, without any luck. I have also tried to examine some pages for open websockets using developer tools, but didn't find anything suspicious.

I'm running version 110.0.1 built on Gentoo, but this issue has been with me for couple versions already. I have a few extensions, including uBlock origin and leechblock, approximately 100-200 open tabs in 4-5 windows at all times. Restarting firefox every day is not the worst, but I'd definitely prefer to not have to do that

I have been using Firefox 52.9.0, and I know it is outdated but it still synced until a few days ago at least. Then the other day I updated my password to strengthen security. After that, I am unable to sync anymore. Is there a way to fix it? I need to continue to use Firefox 52.9.0. Please note that I do not need to be told about security issues as I am aware of them well enough.

I get the following message when I try to make Firefox to sync:

Quickbooks Online will not bring up the sign in page on Firefox. Chrome works fine on the same comp and network. When trying to sign in from Firefox it goes to a blank page with four spinning blue balls, no further.

autofill for credit card not longer available. I had it for some time, but within the last week or two, it disappeared, and there is no longer an option under privacy/security settings in the browser.

Mozilla now FORCE updates, and after every FORCED update, firefox will stop working, or take off to 15 windows open, and over 750mgs used just to idle. According to microsoft this w-10 was fully up to date on 15/Mar/2023(6 days ago), so you don't have to STOOP to blaming this PC for the HUGE memory use, and 15 windows open on start.

I have a new Macbook Air with OS ventura installed, two-finger trackpad scrolling is not working with Firefox. It works with Safari and other programs. I'd love to figure out the problem.

When I log into my bank account and verify via a security code, it will ask me to save my Device Name. The problem is Firefox responds as "My Firefox 03/21/2023 01:34 PM" instead of my real computers name. Since the time always changes, even if I save it, it will never be unique. That means I will be asked to verify every time I log in. How can I make Firefox present my computer name instead of "My Firefox" followed by a date and time stream?

Hello dear company, I have been having trouble downloading and opening files from the PTC WindChill console through your browser since a certain update of yours released sometime last year. I download a file that cannot be opened or is corrupted. I am sending the relevant files in the attachment. I would send you the files I downloaded, but your form doesn't allow it. When I go to the ATT.net website and click on the "mail" link in the upper right-hand corner of the webpage in order to go to the site where my email is, Firefox will not go to that site. I have this same issue with Firefox on both my home PC and office PC. So it's not the computer that causes the issue. Other browsers don't have this issue.

I can view the barnes and noble website but cannot log into my account. Upon entering my login and password, I receive the following error message:"An unexpected error has occurred. Please refresh your page and try again. If this problem persists, please contact customer support." I have contacted B&N support and been told the problem is not on their end and to use a different browser because the issue "must" be a Firefox issue.

The one killer feature Safari on a Mac has that keeps me from fully embracing Firefox is its integration with Messages for two factor security codes sent via text. In Safari, you don't have to jump over to Messages to copy and comeback to paste the code into the field. A box drops down under the field you can click on to autofill the code right there on the webpage.

Does Firefox have this ability somewhere or are there plans to add it soon? I seem to have read that Apple allows third party apps to add this integration since Big Sur.

For the past year, logging into financial sites (banks, credit unions, etc.) has become more and more challenging. Log ins are taking more time or just fail completely. I often have to close Firefox completely and try again. I have deleted extensions such as Ghostery/Privacy Badger, have accepted site cookies, and have tried new privacy windows. Nothing seems to consistently help. When I use Chrome, I get right in -- but I do not like using Chrome. Help!

I work as a technical writer for a software company where we package and ship HTML help files along with our software.

Our help needs to be responsive when it's installed and opened in a local file system, and we've been unable to get sessionStorage (or localStorage) to pass variables to another page unless they're in the same Windows directory.

This makes the browser's storage unreliable, as the variables we need are different depending on what directory you're in.

I understand that to protect against attack pages traversing, say, your Downloads folder, there are various restrictions on file:// access. But is this meant to affect DOM storage as well?
