Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

Is there a way to set the default view and sorting for file upload folder?

The default for me is, detailed view and sorted by date.

I wanted to change it to large icon and sort by name, so it's easier to upload images. but I have to change the setting for every individual folder, is there a way to just set it as default?

I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

I've used FF for years and always had - "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" and "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately."

Until very recently this worked well.... now there are two identical tabs opening the link and the switch to immediately does not work.

When I visit the webpages of the Swiss Federal Post Service

then the scroll bar will not be displayed even though the page is longer than what can be displayed on my screen. As soon as I return to another URL the scroll bar is visible again when needed.

Does anybody know what I can have a scroll bar also for this webpage?

I have reinstalled fresh firefox for like the 5th time now. It continues to not load web site pages completely. One other example, I log in to yahoo mail the page loads. I then click on the mail icon to go to the mail and NOTHING happens.

This is getting old. It only happens with firefox and not MS Edge.

The title pretty much says it. On some phpBB forum I am member of, since yesterday, I can't write long messages and see what I'm writing.

When my texte is bigger than the default frame, the scrollbar jumps at the top of the post while i'm still writing. This doesn't happen with other browers on same webpage.

Possibility : the deepl addon i just installed  ?

Any idea ?

Firefox bookmarks exported from old Windows PC to html file. File transferred to new Windows PC and imported into Firefox. 'Bookmarks Imported Successfully' message seen. However no bookmarks visible in Firefox bookmark menu. Suggestions please?

How do I get Firefox to stop suggesting my email address, city, state or other information on lines for logins or applications? I have turned off all the autofill selections in security and privacy and it still offers suggestions. I don't want any suggestions AT ALL.

Hello, I did something stupid. I was trying to set up the dark/light theme via cli, and I asked openai about it.

It suggested this command:

Which resulted in the following error:

jq: parse error: Invalid numeric literal at line 1, column 11

When I opened mozilla, my profile was reset, and websites won't load (except this one!). They just hang there loading forever. My internet is fine, chromium works perfectly.

So how do I fix this and is there a way I can recover my profile? (Yes I know I should've made backups)

Hello. I am finding on different devices i have that firefox won't let me do things i could do before. Example. On my cellphone. I can't login to twitch.tv nor can i get into my yahoo mail account. It says i have an unsupported browser and i didn't have that problem before. The twitch problem is the same on my pc. I can't login. The login and my credentials are there but the button won't let me log in. Please help me. Thanks. Susan

All downloads "fail" using Firefox. I have tried many things. Some on the internet says the fix is difficult. Other browsers have no issues with downloads. I go to them when I need to download something. I like Firefox, but if I can't resolve this issue, I may have to go to another browser. Help.

I removed the Firefox Relay, however whenever I want to open my email its still there and I have to keep entering my email address manually, How do \i get rid of it?
