About 3 weeks ago, I started using the Windows Mail App as my email client. Every time I try to click on an email hyperlink within the body of an email, it opens the link minimized in Firefox. I then have to go to the task bar, click on the Firefox icon to maximize and then view the link.

Prior to this, I was using Outlook as my email client. I never had this issue when using Outlook. I would simply click on a hyperlink within the body of an email, and it would automatically populate a maximized and ready to be viewed tab in Firefox.

I tried to reach out to Windows support, and of course, they are claiming this is a Firefox browser issue. They are stating that I have to tell Firefox the way HTM's are handled. However, I don't see such option in Firefox and as I explained, I never had to do this when using Outlook in conjunction with Firefox.

Thanks in advance for any help provided. FYI - if it is of any help, I am running the latest version of Windows 10, and the latest version of the Firefox browser (80.0.1).

My mouse scroll wheel sometimes goes from scrolling webpages to magnifying. I have done nothing to trigger this behavior. Closing the browser, Firefox 80.0.1, usually reverts the mouse wheel to scrolling buy not always. How can I fix this so mouse wheel only scrolls unless I change the setting?

I have this website (Todoist.com) which is a webapp that has a loading splash screen everytime its opened in a new tab. The only way I know to avoid this constantly loading is to navigate pages on the same tab

Searching all over the web there are solution and extensions to store the current tabs URL to the clipboard but I cant seem to find a single extension to open a URL in clipboard on the current tab

I used to do this through the UI (alt-d, then ctrl-v ) before but I don’t have this option any more.

I can open any link from windows explorer or command line but it is always opened in a new tab or a new window. Any help would be appreciated.

Last week, Firefox told me to update my android phone browser. I did & updated it with firefox nightly. I used this opportunity to change my main email address. Then, I decided to create a new my keyword, on my phone. At last, I created a backup key to protect my keyword & downloaded it, but can't find it anymore.

Since, impossible to open my account on any of my devices (Macbook, IPad & Android phone) because my main keyword is considered wrong.

Computer browser is 80.0.1 version IPad browser is 28.0 (18809) version.

I have a main email address & a secondary one (which receives no information from firefox). On my phone, I'm asked a 4 figures code that I can't find anywhere. I tried to download the QR code authentification application, but my MAC browser does not show any QR Code, it asks me the main keyword.

I don't want to loose all my IDs & keywords. I'm going mad, what should I Do ?

Until recently, whenever I would drag & drop a website address to my desktop from Firefox, it would create a shortcut with the website icon. But now it just creates a Firefox icon with a URL file and no option to change the icon. It is not a shortcut. Edge Chromium also does the same now. What happened? I am using Windows 10 v2004 64bit and Firefox 80.0.1 64bit. I have one other desktop and two laptops that still work as always and create an actual shortcut with the website icon.

Recently upgraded to 78 from 68. Reader view in 78 has a very distracting actions box (not sure how else to describe it) with options to quit reader view, type controls and audio), which I would like to remove.

Does anyone know how to completely remove this box? Can always use the back button to return to page without reader view.

Note, logged in from Waterfox, since for some reason trying to login with FF 78 rejects exact same login credentials. Inexplicably getting "account not active."

So, this is quite a recent problem that i've noticed. When i go to Youtube's home page, it loads the few first videos' thumbnails, but then, about the 3rd row of thumbnails, it stops loading more thumbnails and keeps showing the loading icon forever.

I've visited Youtube on Chrome and it works just fine. I've cleared my cookies and cache data on Firefox and it worked, but it doesn't take long for the problem to appear again. Sorry, but what am i missing here?

ff 81.0b5, last updated 03 sep 20. problem: after 9 reliable years, Canon ImageClass MF3240 printer suddenly started printing ALL blank pages when printing from FF. printer knows how many pages to print, just they are all blank. printer runs *normally* off Tbird, Notepad, Adobe Acrobat, etc., and also from another browser (Opera). yesterday i noticed for the first time that when i call for a print of a web page (FF), i get a really weird looking Print Preview page that i have never seen before. after choosing which pages i want to print (Custom), i click print and it spends a long time sending the print job to printer. then i get all blank pages. sometimes the Preview page on the display goes blank, too. sometimes i get a popup error message 'there was an error in printing' OWTTE. the directions in FF Help for printing are obviously written for the Print preview Page i WAS seeing before yesterday 03 Sep 20. they do NOT reflect the choices shown on the new, strange-looking Print Preview.

Hi, I'm using a Macbook pro (OS Mojave) & Firefox (80.0.1). I'm having issues when I'm in Outlook365 (web version) and I click the People icon at bottom left to send an email to my Contact Lists. I select a list, and Send E-mail, and the pop up window for Outlook Office 365 opens but there is nowhere to write the email. Just says "Loading" with a spinning wheel. Works with Safari, though.

Same for sharing with Google Drive. When I click Share, it says "Sorry, Sharing is unavailable at this time. Try again later." But it too works with Safari.

This just started happening a couple of weeks ago. I stopped all the extensions. I even threw out the Cookies and Cache, restarted, and refreshed/reinstalled Firefox.

Any help would be appreciated.

The world is not-so-slowly getting undermined by sophisticated technical attacks on our understanding of reality (pretty much any topic - take politics as an example). One of the newer technology is the ability to create, through sophisticated digital editing tools that utilize artificial intelligence, videos that simulate public figures doing or saying whatever the author wishes. There are DeepFake pornographic movies with popular actors and politicians. They run the gamut of ones imagination. Without specific tools to detect and block such products, we're all just sitting ducks in a rising tide of disinformation.

I would like to see a tool embedded in Firefox that detects and notifies the user/viewer of deepfake graphics: photo or video images.

There are of course issues. Performance is certainly one. This might be mitigated by having images buffered in the cloud where they could be analyzed with high performance hardware - then they could be downloaded to our smartphones and other devices. People with high end hardware could do this locally as an option.

I could go on, but I think I've summarized the need.

When I am using gmail I have the calandar application on the right. It has a link to open the full calandar in a new tab. However, firefox throws a warning about the page doing a redirect and I have to click allow. How do I turn that off for gmail / calandar only? I've looked at the exceptions but that doesn't seem to work or I'm not looking at the right settings.

updated yesterday - immediate probs; session restore failed, minutes to load any pages, slow response, no addons / extensions changed, switching tabs or windows can take several seconds to minutes, wont open minimized windows from Taskbar icon, have restarted several times, is slow even with 1 window & tab

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Previous install of Firefox problematic - profile manager wouldn't show. Removed installation.

Downloaded / installed 80.0.1 (64bit). Same problem. Can start Firefox normally but cannot start/interact with profile manager (firefox.exe -p)

Try to open profile manager. Window doesn't appear. Firefox is running in task manager. No option to show window. Kill process. Try to start profile manager again. Same thing. Window doesn't appear but Firefox process in task manager. Restart machine several times. Still doesn't work.

Enter 'about:profiles' in firefox address bar. Create new profile. "Launch profile in new browser". New browser does not appear but exists as process in task manager. Shut down first firefox window (the one used to create new profile). Kill windowless process in task manager.

Run 'firefox.exe -p' in Run. Window doesn't appear (as before). Kill process in task manager.

Run firefox from shortcut. Opens in new profile.

Problem: want and need to run Profile Manager.
