Home page bookmarks are missing. I am not able to add bookmarks on the home page either. But if I click on the top search bar, all of my missing bookmarks appear, but just a miniaturized version. Please restore the original home page layout.

In the address bar dropdown menu, what determines how many Recent Searches vs. how many of my Shortcuts are displayed?

One profile shows 15 Shortcuts & 5 Recent Searches. Another profile shows 19 Shortcuts & 1 Recent Search.

Is there a setting that controls this?

When I log into Google, my browser freezes. I can't close the browser, can't even restart the computer — and this happens every single time I try to sign into my account, making the browser essentially unusable.

I’m working on a website ( https://greenleavesnursery.com/ ) and I’ve added JSON-LD structured data to improve SEO. I know Google Search Console can test it, but I want to verify directly in Firefox.

Is there a way to see if the JSON-LD is being parsed correctly in the browser? Any recommended Firefox developer tools or extensions for checking structured data or meta tags? Are there browser-specific issues I should be aware of with dynamically-injected metadata via JavaScript?

I’m trying to debug and make sure my pages work correctly across modern browsers before submitting them to search engines.

I had some issues with Firefox so I removed and I reinstalled it. I had a Firefox account with sync enabled on since one year ago. However after the update, I couldn't recover my old profile: my bookmarks are gone. I don't know what to do. None of the guides were helpful. With an account and sync on, should have been enough to restore my data, right?

Hi, I'm running FF 149.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11. I've used profiles for a while now and on several occassions I've "lost profiles". Currently I have three profiles which I set up and edited the icon and colour associated with each. When I launch FF I see the Profile Manager and can select any of the three and I can create a new profile which shows here. However, once in any one of the FF profiles I don't see the others - by which I mean that when I go via the hamburger lines top right and click on the current profile, the 'other profiles' section is blank. I also cannot edit the profile from using the edit pencil top right (after clicking the hamburger lines and clicking on the current profile), it takes me to about:editprofile but the page is completely blank. Confusingly, if I go to about:profiles I see two profiles, neither of which shows up in the Profile Manager! I'm going round in circles trying to understand where to edit my exisitng profiles and make sense of the five profiles that don't all show up in the same place!

I got a notification from Firefox to update the browser. Which is fine. But, when I tried to go to History to delete the downloads and previous months history. It will not allow me to delete the months history. It does nothing.

I had a version of Firefox after March 20 that was BAD due to a scam that I got and did not recognize it. After the 20th my email was used to send a bad change to Firefox and I can't get anything to work. I needed to change my email password to halt the persons that were being sent the scam. I need to a have a version of Firefox to install to remove the bad dlls from the scammer which were on the Firefox that was comprimised. My old Firefox (before March 20th 2026) was working fine Can you help?

1: By logging in to my account I am asked to "Enter two-step authentication code"

Upon my knowledge I do not have anything like this. Can I still log in by using my old username and my normal pasword and the be able to sync between my different PCs ?

I’ve been having a performance problem with Firefox that only happens when I play the Letter Boxed web game from the New York Times.

When I open the puzzle in Firefox (latest version), the letters load fine, but as soon as I start typing, the browser becomes laggy input delays, slow animations, and occasionally the whole tab freezes for a few seconds. I’ve tried the following, but none have fixed it:

Restarting Firefox Disabling all add-ons Clearing cache and cookies Updating Firefox to the latest version Running in Safe Mode

Other websites and games work normally, and the issue only appears with this specific NYT game. It also doesn’t happen in other browsers on the same machine.

System Info: ‑ OS: Windows 10 ‑ Firefox Version: (latest stable) ‑ RAM: 16 GB ‑ CPU: Intel i5

Questions:

Is this a known issue with Firefox and the Letter Boxed game? Are there specific settings (hardware acceleration, graphics) that I should adjust? How can I troubleshoot what is causing the lag within Firefox?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!

RE: After a Mac re-start; despite, having the 'Startup > Open previous windows and tabs' checked in General page; the Restore Tabs option's in both the Top Menu History, and the Top Right Button Menu > History > Mange History were all greyed out. Even the keyboard shortcut to restore all Tabs > Command-Shift-T > Failed.

This has never happened before with Re-starts.

Am I able to restore all these tabs by accessing my Firefox Profile, and what are the exact steps?

Can anyone help. A forced update was done to firefox and when relaunching it was like I had never used it before. All bookmarks and passwords were gone. When logging onto my account not record of my bookmarks. When looking on my desktop there was nothing there either. Is there anyway to get these back?

I am investigating a persistent geolocation issue affecting Firefox, where the browser geolocation API returns a precise but incorrect location in the United States.

Actual location: United Kingdom (precise location not shared for privacy)

Incorrect location returned: 39.264542, -76.765924 (Catonsville, Maryland, USA) Reported accuracy: approximately 185 meters around this incorrect point

This issue has been extensively tested and does not appear to be related to IP geolocation, system configuration, or local network setup.

Summary of findings: Reproduced in Firefox and across other browsers:

Mozilla Firefox Microsoft Edge Google Chrome Brave

Reproduced across multiple systems: Windows 11 Windows Server 2025

Reproduced across multiple public IPs: Static /29 allocation BT dynamic IP (completely different address) → Same incorrect Maryland location returned in all cases

Wi-Fi vs Ethernet: Wi-Fi (with SSID/location services) returns correct UK location Ethernet consistently returns Maryland → Indicates fallback to provider-based geolocation rather than IP-based resolution

All standard IP geolocation sources are correct (UK): ipinfo.io ifconfig.co DB-IP / BrowserLeaks IP lookup RIPE allocation Reverse DNS (BT Openworld)

Command-line and non-browser tests confirm correct UK location: curl / PowerShell requests return UK consistently No evidence of US routing, proxying, or DNS leakage

Critical observation: Firefox geolocation (navigator.geolocation) returns:

Exact same coordinates every time Same result across all browsers and machines Consistent high-precision accuracy (~185 meters) around the incorrect Maryland location

Control comparison: Pale Moon (more IP-based geolocation path) returns correct UK location

Conclusion: This does not appear to be a traditional IP geolocation issue.

All IP-based systems resolve correctly to the UK. The incorrect result only occurs when using browser geolocation APIs.

Given: The consistency across browsers and systems The identical coordinates returned each time The high-precision accuracy around the incorrect location

This strongly suggests a provider-side geolocation dataset issue.

Since Firefox uses Mozilla Location Services, I would like to confirm whether:

This result is coming from Mozilla Location Services directly, or from an upstream/shared dataset Whether this type of persistent incorrect high-confidence location can be corrected or escalated within Mozilla’s geolocation system

Since the most recent update installed on Firefox, my homepage no longer loads on opening the browser. Instead, a blank page loads, and I have to hit the home button in order to get to my home page. I've checked and none of my settings have changed, so don't see what else it can be other than some kind of bug?
