I recently updated to the latest Firefox. Now my bookmarks sidebar is black on black and I can't see what is listed on my favorites. I changed to a lighter theme but the sidebar is still very black. What happened? I am afraid to mess with it much because the last time I lost all of my bookmarks.

Thanks

PS I tried to send a copy of the problem but I just couldn't get it to load.

According to Mozilla and all other online instructions for changing Firefox wallpaper, one must click on the Settings icon (pinwheel) in the upper right corner of a new tab. There is no such icon anywhere on the new tab screen. There is no wallpaper to select under the Settings menu (three dashes) in the top right hand corner. I have the latest version of Firefox. What version are these instructions for? And how does one change the Firefox wallpaper? Firefox is my default browser in Ubuntu 2204 LTS.

Hi,

I recently set a custom background image for the Firefox new tab page (and possibly the homepage), but now I’d like to remove or replace it.

I’ve already tried:

Going to about:config and enabling the following:
       browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabWallpapers.customWallpaper.enabled → true
       browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabWallpapers.ui.enabled → true
Searching for a gear icon or any UI options on the new tab or homepage – but nothing appears.

I also checked about:preferences#home but there are no visible options to manage background images.

How can I remove or change the custom background image? I’d appreciate instructions, config paths, or a file location where I can delete the image manually.

Thank you! p.s. I'm stuck with a background image that makes my shortcuts unreadable and it's driving me crazy. 😅

The recent update has caused the font size, including tabs, to reduce to almost unreadable. I can barely use the browser now. What setting where do I use to correct this?

Please tell me whether I need to a)uninstall/reinstall Firefox OR if there is a setting somewhere that I need to use to correct this problem. I usually use Arial variations and need at least 14 for font size. My settings are always the same. My machine is a Lenovo ThinkPad and the OS is Windows 11. I have four bars at the top of the screen, File/Edit, below that tabs, below that the search bar, and below that bookmarks. Before yesterday everything was the correct size for my vision. Please tell me how to fix this. Thank you. Jody Gruber Alexandria VA

Hello there! I recently updated Firefox to 137.0.1. But the update doesn't automatically display the status bar when you hover over the bottom of the page. I had to resize Firefox to make it full screen to display the status bar properly. This makes it difficult for me to use Firefox. I'm pretty sure this is due to a version update. This problem occurred after I updated the Firefox browser, during which time my Windows system was not updated. Is there any solution? Or how can I download a previous version of the browser?

so it shows somekind of sound horn icon on every new tab for some reason now, and when i start to select a tab i want, the icon dissapears and then even moves/resizes the next tab, so i dont even know where to click anymore, plus i might even press the X on the next tab or smth, so it is really confusing and annoying...

... and how can i turn it off? the "icon" is completely useless anyway, because it does not even do anything useful whatsoever lol...

Just purchased a new desktop that came with Windows 11 pro installed. I don't like it. Also having to start from scratch is annoying having to redo all the fixes to Firefox I did on the old computer anyhow.

The attached shows the Toolbar drop downs and what I have done to get rid of them of course the "Show an image preview when you hover on a tab" does just that but the description box (see attached) is still there.

OK I have Firefox 134.0.1 (64-bit) as mentioned Windows 11 pro Any help please and please keep in mind I don't understand a lot of computer speak I am 69yo but can do a bit.

My firefox automatically updated on January 14th. Since the update, it opens with the tool bar above/off the screen, the left side off the screen, and it doesn't allow me to scroll. If I go the the firefox icon at the bottom of the screen and click close window, I can sometimes get it to re-open normally and then leave it open for the balance of the day. I am running windows 11. My wife and I are have the same issue right after the update. Is there a fix on the way or a setting I can change to fix this.

Not as important but I want to get away from all things google. Right now my firefox is tied to a gmail account. To be void of google, do I need to completely take firefox off my computer and re-install with a new email account or can I transfer the account to a new email?

Appreciate your time Thanks so much for your help.
