When using Firefox google will not allow access. If I use google chrome - No problem.

This just started recently. I have used Firefox as my default browse for years with no problems. Why now has google begun blocking access?

Ever since the last update or two when I click on links to open websites, it renders a white screen and I see waiting at the bottom. It takes forever for websites to open. I have toggled acceleration on and off, disabled Windows 11 Efficiency Mode and nothing is working. I am a web developer and I really need websites to open. They open quickly in Chrome but not Firefox after the update and I may need to start using Chrome.

I have Firefox set to NOT update unless I tell it to. However, it still updates on its own without asking me if it should. So every time Firefox updates, I have to close the app and log back in to everything that I was using. Since, I use browser based software for work and need to open and close tabs pretty much all day. Thus, the ability to NOT update is actually fairly crucial to getting my work done.

I have looked at some of the comments about Firefox automatically opening pdf docs. Myu concern is twofold. Most importantly the password in the doc is somehow being overriden; that is a severe security issuen for me. Destroys the whole concept of security. Makes me very uncomfortable and may discontnue using Forefox after more than 15 years. Secondly this caught me by surprise; it only occurred for the first time this morning. How can i overcome this to prevent Firefox from performing merely as a browser?

hi Normally i write email & use mouse cursor to Highlight text & can edit text colour/size etc then send email. After a recent firefox update ; the cursor dissappears so unable to edit email text before sending. It is ok when accessing my yahoo/aol mailboxes email using Edge browser.

What is firefox settings fix???

after using firefox for many, many years, today i keep getting a request for a primary password. i have never had to have this before & do not know why is being asked now...when did this become a requirement & how do i get my password information back? i have never set up any kind of password for firefox. i have tried current passwords & old passwords i would have used & it will not accept anything.

While I tried to connect to the web page "http://eprison.nic.in/npip/public/MyVisitRegistration", I found a reply saying "Firefox can’t connect to the server at eprison.nic.in". Thus, is there any way that I can possibly connect to the web page because I want to pay a VC visit from a distance to my son arrested in Mumbai Central Prison.

I don't know who was the absolute LOSER to have the idea of forcing updates while the user is still working on the browser by shutting the browser down. Can someone else help me understand how to stop this nonsense??

And yes, I had the option "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" selected, and I'm still being molested by this forced restart """feature"""!

Every time I'm in the middle of an important work session, Firefox will suddenly refuse to open new tabs and prevent the ones that are already open from connecting and receiving updates. It erase private tabs and messes up everything!

I was in a call with my boss, and it got dropped because Firefox decided to update?? And DEMANDED that I close the browser IMMEDIATELY to continue using it????? What the hell???????????

I've only been running into this problem in the past few months, and I'm honestly shocked by how little uproar I'm seeing online about this bug. This is by far the worst think I've ever seen in a browser.

Anyway, I appreciate any help. I saw a trick to permanently disable updates, but I don't want to disable them. I just want them to be installed either when I CHOOSE or when the bloody browser is NOT in use!

Hi... I have switched from Google to Thunderbird and am using my old Gmail address: viewegm11@gmail.com on Thunderbird with not problem. Before moving over, I imported all of the email files over to Thunderbird...(old emails and the like).

Now Gmail has sent me a notice saying that I have no more space on the Google server and that I soon won't be able to send or receive emails via Google. Does this apply to Google only or to Thunderbird, as well?

In sum: I no longer log into Gmail or Chrome at all... I am using Thunderbird ONLY to Send and Receive emails at: viewegm11@gmail.com [on Thunderbird].

So the Question arises: Does the warning from Google that tells me That I won't be able to use Gmail anymore apply to my use of the viewegm11@gmail.com address over here on Thunderbird? Or am I safe in choosing to continue using my original Gmail address on Thunderbird...in spite of the warning from Google.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I have used FF on my laptop for many years and AVG AntiTrack on it for 1-1/2 yr without issue. However, today I got a message that appears to be from AVG (but also includes the FF logo) that their AntiTrack is disabled and I need to add it to FireFox, with a "Resolve" button and NO way to close the message. How do I know if it is true or an attempt to hack me? Have there been any other reports of this happening to others? TIA, KBoDolphin

I'm trying to restore bookmarks after latest update. I get to the Import and Backup dropdown and pick Restore. there is nothing listed. I can go into my "C" Drive and find my "bookmarkbackups" folder and see the files. How can I get it reinstalled?

I'm trying to add the world cup tracker to my home screen, but when i click the link, it just puts me in my new tab page with no changes. When I click the pencil edit icon, widgets are not an option for me. Is there a place I need to enable them?

Steps which do not work or lead to a previous page which was not helpful ! " Recently Closed Tabs" or History will NOT open the latest tabs. Click to ??? "whatever" is incomplete 'cause you do not tell us WHERE IT IS LOCATED. Backup" is assumed by you, but no information to set it up! Bottom line.: when Firefox crashes, we [the user] is screwed!!

Despite having receiving an invite (an email titled-Your Smart Window invitation is waiting) to try the Smart Window, on click, I land on a screen for joining the waitlist.

Wondering if I'm alone facing this or it is just another bug.
