Hola, por favor, necesito ayuda con el micrófono. Como pueden ver en la imagen adjunta, cuando intento dictar por voz, aparece que el micrófono está deshabilitado.

He intentado acceder a los ajustes, pero no sé cómo agregar la página de Google Translate (u otra) a los permisos, ya que no encuentro ninguna opción que me permita incluir manualmente una nueva URL para habilitar el micrófono. Tampoco aparece la opción para permitir el uso automático del micrófono.

Además, he notado que ahora hay una nueva ventanita a la izquierda del chat de ChatGPT (¡me gusta mucho esta función!), pero el micrófono tampoco funciona en esa sección.

Agradezco mucho si me pueden orientar para solucionar esto.

When I make an online call through Firefox, I allow microphone permission, but there is no sound input. I also tested multiple voice websites, but none of them work. However, I can use the microphone using Edge in the same situation. I think there must be some problem with Firefox. How can I solve this problem? My system is Win11

I recently added ChatGPT as a search engine option. I tried to use the voice interface to simply ask the question instead of typing it out. An error message quickly appeared that stated "To use voice mode, you'll need to enable your microphone and try again." I could not find a way to grant this permission. The only setting mentioning "permissions" was in privacy & security. When I click on "settings" I receive the following message showing websites which have asked for permission so that I could choose to grant it or not, but, what it does not provide is a way for me to grant spontaneously if I choose to. ChatGPT has not requested permission so how do I, without a request from a site, choose to grant them permission to access and use the mic on the laptop so that I can simply talk to it?

suddenly today the mic has stopped working in Chat GPT. I have changed nothing... checked all settings, everything is ok... why does it suddenly say "Enable Mic Access to Dictate"?

After downloading the latest OS on my IMac, I can no longer use the microphone on Chat GPT to dictate anything. I keep getting red "enable microphone" messages. In my Firefox settings, the microphone is already "allowed" for Chat GPT. I would like to be able to dictate, rather than type, like I was able to before. Thank you.

I am experiencing a recurring issue with Firefox microphone permissions.

When I visit https://chatgpt.com and allow microphone access, it works for the current session. However, every time I open a new window or restart Firefox, I receive the same “Enable mic access” error from the site. I have to manually re-set the microphone permission through the lock icon each time.

Steps I have already tried:

Manually setting https://chatgpt.com to Allow in Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Microphone.

Adding https://chatgpt.com as an exception in Cookies and Site Data (set to Allow).

Clearing site data and resetting permissions.

Confirming microphone access is enabled in Windows settings.

Running Firefox in Safe Mode with all extensions disabled.

Creating a fresh Firefox profile and testing again.

The issue persists across profiles and with no extensions enabled. Other sites seem to remember microphone permissions correctly, but chatgpt.com does not.

System details:

Firefox version: [insert your version, e.g., 128.0.2 (64-bit)]

Operating System: [e.g., Windows 11 Pro 23H2]

Reproducible: Always

Expected result: Once I set the microphone permission to Allow for chatgpt.com, Firefox should persist this setting across sessions.

Actual result: The permission resets, and I have to manually toggle it on each new session.

Please advise if this is a known bug or provide a fix.

I'm experiencing an issue where I cannot access the microphone allowance within my Firefox browser. They appear to be completely missing. My FireFox is completely new.

Could you please assist me with this? I've attached a screenshot to help illustrate what I'm not seeing and seeing on Google Translate. It doesn't even ask me if I can use it.

Firefox show's my location when 'Googling'

In 'about:config' I have my geo set to disable, I tried it enabled and turning it back, also in 'Settings' Location shows empty and I can not get it to see Google nor can I manually insert it.

Any idea what is going on please??

How to whitelist a site to give location access? I have gone to the Location tab in settings, but it will not allow me to enter a URL/domain that I want to whitelist.

Hello everybody, I'm facing some problems with the camera settings: when accessing vcall sites (e. g. zoom or google meet) they don't ask permissions for the camera, it looks like I have no camera installed, which is not true, of course, and in fact with Ungoogled Chromium everything works fine. When trying to add manually the sites in the whitelist nothing happens, they're simply ignored. On the other side, the microphone settings work properly. Thanks in advance for any support.

I have read all your tutorials. I was unable to have an important televisit with my doctor yesterday because nothing I tried worked. I am unable to use webcam for other sites until I resolve this problem. Previously I had no problem with my webcam but recently had to get new pc with windows 11 & needs to configure my pc to address this issue. I have another appt scheduled with another doctor & need to fix this problem asap Thanks

When I am using Google search on my MacBookPro w/ Sequoia 15.5 The location permission pop-up box does not show the remember my choice box. How can I change settings to allow it?
