The AI tab thing is a problem for me for multiple reasons. I found various articles about how to turn it off. They pointed to the following setting: In about:config set the setting "browser.tabs.groups.smart.enabled" to false, and then restart Firefox.

However, when I do that, and then immediately go back to about:Config to check the setting, it has changed itself back to "true".

Other settings accept and keep permanent changes. This means that I'm not forgetting to save the change or anything. Just this one setting (which turns off something causing me problems) refuses to actually stay set.

I see the answer to this question https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1509077 and tried looking there. There is a completed study called "Smart Tab Groups Rollout", but since it is in the "Completed Studies" group, I cannot remove it.

For some months now, LinkedIn does not load 90% of the time. It just 'hangs'. It's the only website that this problem happens. So I switch to another browser to access LinkedIn now, which is my most used site.

There is a "BOX" that one can check-off that shows up for that purpose and I cannot seem to be able to have that option? Maybe it is a software problem only for You Tube tech to ask? I have checked several videos on You Tube and cannot seem to find out why? I am also 76+ years old which does not help!!!! Thanks

I've lost access to my [edited] @hotmail.com email address that is associated with this account, and I'd like to change my email address now before I'm locked it forever. This is the last computer that I have that is still logged in! It seems that to add another email address I need verification from my first email address, which I can not get. Please help! I don't know if your response to this help question will go to my Firefox account or my email, but if it goes to my lava950 email I won't receive it. For the past few days I have been noticing that the websites run by google such as youtube, gmail, maps, are not running properly in firefox desktop app. I have to refresh it again and again or close the entire firefox and restart it to start working properly. Any idea why this is happening ?

My firefox is already updated to it's latest version.

After the 145.0 update when I start Firefox both the menu bar and the top bar with the exit icon are missing. This is the first issue I've had since using Firefox when the new revision was in the 20's. Per some quick Support research, I press F 11 twice (NOT once) to restore the screen to include the top bar with exit icon and menu bar with my Windows task bar showing (as normal for the past 2 decades). When I close out Firefox in less than full screen mode and then start up Firefox again, it properly includes both the top bar with exit icon and the menu bar. HOWEVER, if I close Firefox in full screen and then restart, I am missing the top icon bar and menu bar... again. Press F11 twice and the bars are back to square one. HOW DO I FIX THIS SO I DON'T HAVE TO PRESS F11 TWICE ON EVERY STARTUP TO RESTORE MY SCREEN?????? WHY DID YOUR RECENT UPDATE CHANGE MY SCREEN SETTINGS?????

I have tried the recommended fixes for the issue of History and Bookmarks being used by another app or security. Cannot get it to work. Concerned about the next fix " create a new data base" will be too complicated and I will get it wrong; and really mess up my new laptop. Help with this issue would be very much appreciated.

These 2 web sites worked fine last night.

Today ebay.com connects, but picutres on the site are blank spaces.

Gunbroker.com won't connect, it just sputters and sputters.

I entered these 2 sites on Chrome, they came up correctly. Gunbroker.com connected. Ebay came up with all the pictures on the site populated.

I've been using Firefox since forever but over the last couple of months, the auto translate subtitles (to English) hasn't been working when watching Youtube videos. There's a thread on the Youtube support site with nearly 40,000 posts of people with the same issue and tonight I was trying to watch a video where the hosts talk in Italian, so I use auto translate to English subtitles but no subtitles appear. It will show Italian language subtitles.

I've gone back through this Youtube channel's history trying videos I've previously watched from months/years ago when auto translate used to work but even they're not working now.

I decided to try the video in Edge browser and to my surprise the auto translate to English worked there. They also work in Chrome.

So what could be causing this issue on Firefox, which started about August time?

This is quite bizarre as I assumed all the processing/translation was done by Google/Youtube so in what way can Firefox be part of this issue?

To be clear, subtitles in the (foreign) language the people are speaking, works. Subtitles translated from that language to English (or other languages) has stopped working. Subtitles translated from that language to English IS working on Edge and Chrome browser.

As you may know, if you hold Alt while scrolling with the mouse wheel, you'll go back a page (if you went down), and if you went up, you'll go forward a page. How do I turn this off, as I have never, not once, found this useful. Instead, I've always found it to be more of a nuisance, as Alt + Tab is how to switch between software on Windows 11, and I switch between software often. Please tell me how to turn this feature off.

I've been using Firefox for maybe 20 years but the upgrade to 145 has completely floored me. I run Windows 11 and up to now I've had no problems with Firefox on it.

Alas, since the 145 upgrade I've found that any site that involves static or video imagery that it simply won't load the graphics. It just indicates it is trying to load it indefinitely. If it ever completes, it does so with multiple errors. Experience suggests that it is primarily but not exclusively a graphics problem. Some text sites won't load either.

I've tried troubleshooting, refreshing and even doing a fresh install with a new profile but none of this makes any difference. As a result, after those 20 years I've had to give up on Firefox altogether.

I've no faith that there will ever be a fix that allows me to go back to Firefox. This is sad because I'm used to Firefox and the user UI suits my preferences and experience. Alas, no more. It has simply become unusable for me.

Why am I constantly getting the following message from Bitdefender every time I log into Firefox - "firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to tracker.ads-radiantfusion.co. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a ...." Please let me know if it is safe to exclude this warning. Best Regards, Mrybos

I use Arcgis quite a bit for property info and for the last several months, it either won't fully load or has constant freezes when doing anything. It also freezes other windows I have open and most the time when I shut down those windows and start FireFox again, my home screen (Start Page) won't load? I have to dump history/cookies and sometimes flush dns. I contacted ArcGis and they say it works fine on their end. So I suspect FireFox is the issue.

I downloaded the Opera browser last night and it has no problems with this site. I won't use chrome or edge.

Any help figuring out what's going on? I have changed no settings, no vpn, no private browsing either. It seems with each FireFox update, my issues get worse?
