Hey, I have a new laptop and want to login to my account. My account is an hotmail.com one. After giving the password Mozilla is suppose to send me an email with an authentification number. The email is not coming. Not in the spam section, anywhere. Tried multiple times, same issue. Add Mozilla to my contact list, nothing changes. Tried to change my Mozilla account email address, not possible as I need to pass through this process again. Is my only option to delete my account and creat a new one with another email address?

hi i am unable to use the middle search bar on the firefox screen , i understand that this search bar is a dummy bar, i have been told that to make this bar work you have to alter the settings using about:config process, and changing the handoff from ture to false , to which I have done in the past and it has worked , but for a reason I cannot understand this seems not to work now , i am completely lost now and i am reaching out to the community for help and advise thank you . I accidentally typed my protonmail password into the field of my username/mail address. I don't remember what more I did (propably answered yes to save) but now there is as autofilled my password for username always I open my Protonmail account. I am using Firefox as browser (should be the newest version) while Emailing.

I tried to delete autofill of Firefox according to the next advise: "go to Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to "Forms and Autofill," and uncheck "Autofill addresses" to stop saving them"

Then I was astonished. There is no "Forms and Autofill" setting on my Firefox at all!

Protonmail settings didn't help either nor Windows 11 - neither FAQ.

I've tuned in to Firefox this morning to find that I'm kind of shut out, no access to my usual apps, and required to enact some difficult backing up etc. When I explore, it seems to relate to Windows 10 losing its backup from Microsoft. But I'm running Windows 11, not 10. What's going on? Is this legitimate? If so, why is it complicated and why wasn't it forewarned (by Firefox)?

Passwords won't reveal

When on Firefox desktop I can't reveal any passwords. Currently, it's set to prompt for a user login from the computer to reveal a password but it doesn't show the prompt when clicking to reveal a password.

Restarting the browser doesn't seem to work. Restarting the computer doesn't seem to do the trick either. I tried signing out and back in from my Firefox account but that didn't work either. I tried using mobile Firefox and that seems to work properly. Passwords also auto-fill like normal, basically the only thing not working is the password reveal. I'm not exactly sure what I can proceed to try next to fix this.

Dear Mozilla,

As a long-time Firefox user and evangelist, it saddens me that the time has come to part ways.

I have seen threads from others commenting on Firefox's aggressive memory consumption and retention. I have not measured this and thus do not feel qualified to comment, but, sadly, I am not surprised.

My own experience in recent times highlights 2 events that have driven me here.

1) Several websites just not responding in that some screens will not even scroll. This is fixed by me moving to a different browser.

2) More seriously - When trying to fill in a web form for a work job application the page was completely unresponsive. When I contacted the web site support their answer was: "Are you using Firefox? Ah, Yes, we are having issues with Firefox that we are trying to resolve. Our suggestion for the time being is, if practical, try using a different browser". That answer worked.

I should add that the usual cache clearing, machine restarts, even Firefox reinstall did nothing to fix either of the above issues.

So with the serious memory greed issues reported by others and my own (dys)functional experiences, I fear the time has come.

Thank you for the last 30 years or so and I am sorry it has come to this.
