Hello,
Since I've updated my Ubuntu from 24.04 LTS to 24.10 I see very annoying issue regarding to latest Firefox (131.0.3) installed via flatpak.
The issue occurs while I tried to start firefox via flatpak icon (desktop or program menu). When I take an action to start firefox it takes 30 seconds to few minutes sometimes to take start.
What is interesting: when I start browser from the terminal (flatpak run org.mozilla.firefox) - it works without any problem and starts immediately.
I've also tried solutions from this thread https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1442927 - no success.
Before update all works well. Also I'm using thunderbird (on flatpak too) and it starts ok.

Hello Support:
When clicking on an email in Firefox, the browser sends me to the log in page and asks me to sign in, again and again.
I quit the app and reopened it with no change. I trashed the old copy and re-installed the application to no avail.
Please advise on what to do next.

I've been using Firefox and Gmail on my PC and android phone for years. Today I can't log into my gmail account on my PC and instead it redirects to google support and goes on about clearing cache etc etc. I have cleared the cache but no different. I have restarted my pc and no different. PC is Windows 10.
I can log in to gmail using Google Chrome so I can't see that it is a Google problem. I can also log in ok on my Android phone.
Is this a Firefox issue?

Recently I signed up for a new internet and wifi provider, Xfinity. My house has several devices including 4 TVs, my laptop, and multiple cell phones and they ALL connect to Xfinity. BUT, my main I Mac computer will NOT connect. So I have also been paying for Century Link because I use this computer for work.
I have tried several things and now wonder if Firefox is permitting it to connect (according to my mobile app internet IS connecting to the computer).
Can someone help?

For seemingly no reason at all - suddenly no menu opens - even if I select text and right mouseclick - nothing! Clicking on folder - nothing. Clicking any menu - nothing. BUT it actually opens! It just does not show! For example, if click on Tools, then it will be dark. If I move the mouse down where should be the first thing in the menu "Downloads" then it is actually there, Downloads opens. So what is this? I need a fix, fast. This is my main browser and I have 8500 tabs. So no "reinstall" is not an option. I even had to make this post in another browser because I can not use the "Which topic best describes your question?" dropdown - it does not show!

When opening AI Chatbot sidebar with ChatGPT and trying to login, after entering email the site says: "Something went wrong while getting your SSO info".
It often happens with ChatGPT but usually I resolve this issue by adding "0" in the URL: https://auth.openai.com/ -> https://auth0.openai.com/ and this resolves the issue. However in case of sidebar I cannot add this 0, so cannot login...

I updated to the latest Firefox 131.0.2 on 10-9-24. After using Firefox to view the digital version of Startribune.com issue, I was able to view the front page but was unable to scroll down or up on the page using my touchpad. I was able to scroll after enlarging the size by one click, but after clicking to turn to the next page, the size button returned to the initial size and did not permit scrolling without resizing the screen with one click to the right. So I can turn the page, but have to resize each page in order to scroll down. So, until Firefox is once again functional enough to enable reading digital version (scrolling and turning the page without resizing) of my local paper, I will use Safari which is completely functional. Any suggestions? John R. Schaefer

I have Norton installed, which might be the problem, or maybe not. Computer is a MacBook Air, but the same problem happens on my desktop iMac, which also has Norton protection. Problem is trouble connecting almost every time I want to go to a new website. The internet IS working and computer IS connected to internet. But Server is 'not found' according to this frequent msg:
Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at www.google.com.
If you entered the right address, you can:
Try again later Check your network connection Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)
I have looked at and tried the recommended replies and none have worked for restoring the use of the lower toolbar of Roboform, help.

See the attached. Usually when the process gets above 1gb I kill it, but I've watched it get over 7gb before. This is a terrible nuisance that other browsers handle with ease. Why does Firefox allow such selfishness through your browser? You have the ability to allow or disallow anything! Get on top of it! I say this because more than a decade ago you had the same problem on Windows as you now have on Linux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET A FUCKEN BRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP HIRING COMPLETE MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will soon be replacing and then banning Mozilla as an option on all Linux platforms and hopefully everyone else will ban you worthless retarded fucks too!!!!!!!!!
