What can I do about excessive memory usage by Firefox? I'm about ready to remove from my system. I get memory availability alerts from my very up to date Mac system only when Firefox is active. I've been with you for a LONG time so hate to leave but this is not a good situation.

The title sums it up. • Does anyone know why FFx , when opened following my MacBook Pro Restart, opens without any of my selected Tabs AND then provides no History of my last FFx session??? • Hours of Internet research, vanishes! It really p--- me off! • This has happened at least 4 or 5 times in the past year to year and a half and on both computers. And I do stay on top of my FFx updates. If a Notice appears on my screen, I usually install within 24 hours. • This last time (today) I had previously updated FFx a few hours earlier and then I needed to run a Restart of the computer.... • MBPro fires back up, I open FFx and nothing in the Tabs Header. GONE! Poof! • I go to Browsing History - no Restore Previous Session (by any other term) • Doesn't it seem logical? THAT fundamental function would be right there, top of the list?!?! • HERE IS THE KICKER: In FFx I opened the FFx "About Firefox" menu and noticed it says, amidst all the provided information, "Failed to check for updates." • BS! It was following the update that FFx Tabs vanished! How can it insert that statement? Was I suppose to do something other than click "OKAY". And then the new version begins when FFx is reopened. Right? • If this comes down to the older OS on the computer (10.13.6) I should not be receiving update notices from FFx. If so, a notice of, "Your Mac's OS is too old to run FireFox's latest version" would be what I should receive. So, as you can tell, I'm frustrated and baffled at the same time. Any thoughts? I have a problem. I have seen that there have been discussions about this in the past. Unfortunately I have not found a solution and the discussions are all archived.

Now to the problem: Various pages have no favicon in Firefox when I drag them into the bookmark bar as a bookmark. However, when the page is active in the tab, a favicon is visible there.

The problem does not seem to be unique to me. Several people have tested it. It also seems to be a problem in Firefox only. In other browsers, this problem does not occur.

What can website owners do to fix this problem?

I have installed the LastPass extension for Firefox, more than once, but the LastPass icon does not appear in my browser bar. It used to be there, but disappeared a few weeks ago. I have tried to reinstall the extension, but it has had no effect.

i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

My computer died today due to water damage, which means I can't turn it back on again. I got a new computer, I've looked all over the Firefox support websites, and can't find a solution as to how to get all of my Firefox data onto this new computer. I tried the profile page, but it looks like a profile for my old computer's Firefox never even existed. I have no idea where to find any of my old data.

I have a Mac with Sonoma. Somehow a while ago I ended up with Firefox ESR, which I was told that will not be supported after September.

I am a non-technical user. While I do have Safari and Chrome, I would prefer to continue using Firefox.

Could you please let me know the steps to execute to somehow switch from the ESR version to the current normal version without loosing settings, bookmarks or ending up with problems? Thanks in advance.
