I mistakenly exited the left side bookmark sidebar. I would like to return it to the default setting, but have not been able to find instructions to do so or find a way to do it through the given menus.

You can open the Bookmarks sidebar (Ctrl+B) and click the arrow next to Bookmarks to open its drop-down menu.
