I have stop using firefox until this problem is resolved. The browser tales up the whole screen and I can not find any way to reduce it.

Can you please provide a screenshot?

It's possible that it's in full screen mode. Try disabling it by pressing F11 in your keyboard

Make sure Firefox isn't set to run in Full Screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).
