In your Profile .... save the two files: "key4.db" and "logins.json" ... and place in any new Profile for Logins (or in current After Password Reset. In MY FF Profile the 2nd member is -- bookmarkbackups --. Save that Folder to a separate place you can Browse-Restore From after Password Reset. In Profile I also have -- bookmarks.html -- files as 2nd backup to Import IF the bookmarkbackup route fails (.jsonlz4 extension). Search for How-To-Setup as a 2nd future backup .... Open FF/ Bookmarks tab at top/ Manage Bookmarks/ Import & backup/ Restore allows you to pick from multi backups by date and those are the .jsonlz4 files in bookmarkbackups / You'll likely Browse to the Temp Folder location where you placed this saved Folder . THAT overwrites any previous; Import Bookmarks.html ADDS TO what is there and Duplicates are likely. I THINK this should work but I'm no expert.

Type about:preferences#security<enter> in the address box. Look under Logins,

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
