Font Rendering
Hi all,
Last weekend Firefox updated to 82.02 automatically and the font is now very Chrome-like in that it is grey and grainy which causes me massive eye strain.
I switched from Chrome to Firefox because of the bolder, blacker fonts. Now I'm probably stuck in version 81 for the rest of time which is not a long term solution. Is there a way to use version 81 font rendering in updated versions of Firefox.
Thanks,
Jayule

Can you attach a screenshot?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
Were you using a special font ?
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available" - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings
Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting for changes to take effect.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
