Hi, if you are wanting to use Firefox Sync as a backup that is not what it is designed for and you will loose your data. Sync is designed for syncing data between 2 devices.

Please let us know if that is the intention of use and will follow up with help.

Hi, you do not need a Firefox Account to use Firefox.

If you intend to use Sync to Sync between Devices then you need a Account. If you are going to save Screenshots online you need a Account.

Please explain why you need a Account, and if the reasons are not for the above then do not. Ask (us) for Support to help you get the email and we will if you need a account.
