An odd (maybe) bookmarking question
Hi all, been using and loving FF for years but have run into a small glitch in the past year or so. I thought it was a system problem I was having but having recently replaced all of my hardware and reinstalled everything fresh I'm still seeing this. I apologize in advance if this has been covered in numerous other locations, I hunted around for a bit but couldn't find this specific problem.
The issue: More often than not, 70% of the time maybe, when I try and bookmark a site using the drop down, before I can finish renaming or choose a folder the window will just close and put the bookmark in the main folder. It's not a big pain just an inconvenience as I then have to open the properties of the mark, make my adjustments and move it manually to the sub folder I want.
ie. The default looks like this: CNN - Breaking News, Latest News and Videos
When I try and shorten it to just "CNN" and put it in my news folder it will just save and close leaving me with a bookmark in the main folder that just says "CN" or "C"
Again, no biggie, just a minor irritant. Any tips or ideas would be great. Thanks all :)

"... before I can finish renaming or choose a folder the window will just close and put the bookmark in the main folder. "
A "~ 3 second timer" was added back in Firefox 48 or 49 when there were other enhancements made to "bookmarks".
Just click the "Star" and "Edit this Bookmark" will open - that dialog doesn't have an auto-close timer. It will wait for you to click "Done".
Overall, I believe a "fix" for that new feature is coming in Firefox 52 or 53.
