Basically whenever I do virtually anything now on FF it constantly "blinks". For example if I'm on Youtube it will randomly go to desktop for a split-second while the FF taskbar on top is still visible but "not responding" and then less than a second later everything's fine.

I tried disabling add-ons, disabling hardware acceleration, doing a complete fresh restart, nothing seems to have fixed it.

Chosen solution

I managed to find a solution to my issue in case anyone else finds through Google or something.

I followed the steps outlined here and restarted my computer and everything has normal. Only other thing of note is that I didn't have all the keys listed so if you don't see them just skip 'em.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?

Using FIrefox in safe mode didn't seem to change anything.

However it seemed to be okay in my computers safe mode, although it's hard to tell since everything is so low res.
