How to perform a new install while keeping book marks, addons etc?
I need to perform a new install and I would like to retain my personal information, book marks etc. I know that such info is stored separately and want to use it in the new install. How can I do it?

Your personal data is kept in your profile. This folder is normally left intact when uninstalling Firefox, unless you check the "Remove my Firefox personal data" option.
- Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
- Restore bookmarks, passwords, and data from an old Firefox profile
Also note that most problems with Firefox are contained in the profile folder. You can get a fresh start while retaining things like bookmarks and passwords by resetting Firefox.
