Nov 6 - Firefox updated when I opened my browser - bookmarks are now *bigger*, my list of bookmarks is more spread out. Hate it. Help.
I have my bookmarks toolbar open at all times to the left of my browser window. After this morning's updates, the bookmark icons seem bigger, the list is more spread out. Now bookmarks that were visible 'before', I have to scroll to see, because they're more spread out and take up more space.
Do not like. Any way to reset them so they're small again? To 'compact' the list, as it were?
Thanks!

Hello,
Do you know which version of Firefox you were updating from?
I think this may be due to the High DPI support that was added to Firefox in v22. Firefox now follows the text size specified in your Windows settings (see screenshot).
To get the text in Firefox back to normal size you should change your windows settings so that text is at 100%.
If you want to change the size in Firefox without changing your Windows settings you can use the NoSquint add-on.
I hope that helps. Let me know if not.
My windows font setting is at 100 percent already. My Firefox updates automatically. It's currently Firefox 25.0, so I'm going to assume it updated from whatever was one step back.
Since the change happened just this morning, I have to assume that it's something in the 25. update.
Thanks for the help, I'll have to see about the add-on.
Also, just changed the font size in Firefox and it didn't affect the bookmarks at all, just the content of the browser windows.
Hmm... thanks for the feedback. It sounds like something is wrong. I don't think there were any changes to the bookmarks sidebar in the v25 update.
Could you open Firefox in Safe Mode to check if the font size is still wrong?
Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
If the problem does not appear in Safe Mode then continue to follow the instructions in the article to identify the setting or Add-on that is causing the issue.
If the problem does appear in Safe Mode then I suggest that you do a Firefox Reset. This will return Firefox to its default settings. Your history and bookmarks will be saved but you will need to reinstall your add-ons.
Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
Let me know if that fixes it.
Interestingly enough, I stumbled across this somehow (don't remember what links i clicked now), which seems to be a fix.

It was posted in July, so it's been ongoing, but makes me wonder why it didn't pop up until now on my browser which, like I said, updates automatically.
