For no apparent reason or cause I have had all saved passwords erased from Firefox Browser, Why-How?
I believe that Firefox had a recent update which was auto implemented after-which my entire collection of saved passwords disappeared off of my Desktop computer. Over the next couple or more weeks I reconstructed many of the passwords and was heading back to normal. Today, for unknown reason my entire collection of saved passwords have again been erased and I do not know how and assume they are not recoverable so am back to square one. On my home computer I have it set to not allow auto updates and have a Firefox update waiting and hesitate to allow it, expecting the same result there to my saved passwords. Nothing significant has been done to or with my computer in this same time period so am at a loss as to why this happened not just once but now twice with cause unknown (I am unaware of any second Firefox update in the interim which could have caused this but cannot rule this out).

I have to say that I do not even know what this "Suggestion" means. I did try it and was taken to a page where someone else had an issue but yet to see any solutions or path to one. I am currently on my now fifth or sixth incident of having my entire list of saved passwords removed completely. I am not particularly adroit at using Firefox resources yet know that I had someone assist me, and they did find some of my past saved passwords and managed to restore them for me, however now that loss has occurred again, and I am left to assume that it was caused by an update either of Firefox or perhaps something else yet have no idea which or if. On another computer used, I have it set to notify me prior to updating anything, and I continued to get messages from Mozzila that an update is available and defer using it for fear the same thing will happen there meanwhile realizing that I am working on a dated version of the software for no good reason except having to be defensive.I have preserved the saved passwords on that hard-drive thus far but find this is getting old and am beginning to believe I must find an alternative browser, though prefer not.

There is an option to export your passwords
Manage saved passwords then the three dots > Export
I appreciate that you are attempting to be of help however, your suggestion, although could be helpful is not.I assume you are suggesting that I export my saved passwords from my other computer. Just to directly address that, the two computers are used for entirely different things so there may be a couple of common passwords there but the rest are not of use. The problem causing this is not being addressed in any way just a work-around offered. I have written record of most, if not all, of the passwords, but having to repeatedly re-enter them, and save them, only to have them be erased a few days later, is the real issue. I also am not updating Firefox in the other computer since I see that a a threat to my saved passwords there. Thus far I have neither gotten an explanation nor a solution, the latter of which would involve protecting the saved passwords from unwanted elimination going forward.
If Firefox starts up after an update without your bookmarks and other settings, check whether your data is available in a different profile:
Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it. The About Profiles page will open. This page should list at least one profile and could list many.
The profile that Firefox is currently using will show:
This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted.
Please do not delete anything here; don't use any Remove buttons.
Do you have another profile named default or default-longnumber listed on this page? If so, you can check whether it is the one you were using recently by clicking its Launch profile in new browser button.
If it isn't what you want, simply close that new window.
If it IS what you want, click the Set as default profile button for that profile on the about:profiles page. Firefox will use it automatically at the next startup.
