Firefox version: Latest version on Mac. MacOS: Latest version. Issues: After a certain date, I did not know what happened. After that date, I was unable to drag the local files to my Synology Nas via its "Quickconnect" service in Firefox. I made several attemps trying to have this issue solved but in vain. Eventually I had to switch back to Chrome. By the way, I am able to log into Quickconnect in Firefox and delete files.

All videos on any site will load properly however they will not play. Can skip around and see frame by frame but the video will not play

I've had a problem for a while where Firefox tells me "Firefox is being updated by another instance" and the only way I've been able to get updates is by using the installer.

In my attempts to resolve this, I learned of the `about:profiles`. I have never set up profiles so I figures I should only have the 1 default profile but it turns out I have `default`, `default-release`, default-release-1`, and `default-release-2`.

Of these profiles, the `default-release` is the 1 that has my data while it is `default-release-1` that is able to update.

I would like to make it so that I only have 1 profile that has all of my data AND is able to update.

I already tried removing all the profiles accept the one with my data but that leaves Firefox unable to update. I restored all the profiles I removed and I am back to where I started.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

i have been using the old yahoo for years and now it seems they changed the layout to resemble google. it sucks. if i wanted googles layout i would use my google email. if i use this term https://mail.yahoo.com/d/settings/1 i get the old yahoo setup screen and then i have to click return to mail and the old screen stays until i either restart the pc or restart fire fox. i do not see in fire fox setting an area that lets me put in a startup term like chrome has that will restart yahoo in the view i like. being that view is still there.

Trying to watch a video on Nebula and it will not load. Receiving the following errors:

Just made a new profile and wiped everything from my history following another issue which isn't strictly speaking resolved. I am unable to load image-dense websites with any consistency. Issues do not occur on other browsers. I receive similar errors on Twitch:

With the latest updates, my Firefox window has no way to minimize/resize/close the window. (There are also no tabs/bookmarks) I see nothing in the settings options that seems relevant.

I've had this happen several times before, but this time it really annoyed me.

I sent tabs from one Firefox instance to another on another device. I closed these tabs on the source device. These tabs were quite old this time, I'd not opened them in a while - this becomes important later.

On the destination device, let's call it "madbilly's destination Firefox", these tabs didn't arrive. After doing a couple of tests where I sent a tab from my mobile to this instance, I realised that this was a similar problem to what I'd had before, which is one where a Firefox instance/profile for some reasons "resets" itself and it seems to create a new instance in Firefox Sync. Tabs which have previously been sent to "madbilly's destination Firefox" don't arrive, because (I think) it's not registered in Firefox Sync as the same instance. These sent tabs, if closed on the source instance (which I did) are lost, unless one reopens the source instance and Ctrl-Shift+T reopens closed tabs. Unfortunately, in this case because the tabs were old and I hadn't opened them for a while there was no way to do this, because Firefox doesn't remember closed tabs which are not stored in memory (another bug, any fix?), except for looking in old session store backups which I'm going to do after I write this post, though I don't know if that will work.

Also, on Android, because it only remembers 10 closed tabs it's not really feasible to retrieve lost sent tabs this way either, and as there's no access to the session store backups the tabs are definitely lost.

Oddly, when this happens "madbilly's destination Firefox" usually appears twice in the send-tab-to menu, but in this case it didn't. To be able to send to this instance I had to sign out of Firefox sync on this instance and sign in again. Then the same instance appeared twice in the sync menu, the old one being now unreachable.

I'd like to know: 1. Why does this happen? 2. How to avoid it happening? 3. Is there a bug registered about this? 4. When will it be fixed and prevented from happening again.

I generally find that this happens when a Firefox instance isn't shut down properly, which on my old desktop I put down to it running out of resources, but on this shiny new laptop from work that doesn't make sense.

The built in VPN worked great for me for a couple of months, but now whenever I try to turn it on, it starts with the "Get Started" screen, which takes me to a page to confirm my account. When I press continue the VPN button just goes back to the "Get Started" screen & the loop repeats. I've tried signing out & refreshing my Firefox installation but I keep getting the same result. Before it started doing this the button to turn on the VPN was appearing but would not react to clicks.

After browsing the internet, i find new stuff on my screen. Then I have to spend time deleting all the shortcuts I don't want. I have the home screen set the way I want it and don't want it to arbitrarily add short cuts I don't want or need. I hate it when it messes up what I have set.

My folders suddenly stopped loading. When I log in, I can see grey boxes down the left hand side where my folders used to be. It looks as if the folders are trying to load, then the grey boxes disappear and all I see is in the screenshot I have attached.

I have followed the instructions GMX provides. Cleared the cache, etc. Those didn't solve the problem. The second attachment shows instructions that showed when I did an online search. Please ignore the second suggestion regarding Thunderbird. If these instructions refer to gmx settings, I cannot access them as you see by the first attachment, there is no way I can access gmx settings. The icons you can see only change how my inbox contents are displayed. If the instructions refer to email settings within FIREFOX, I am still stuck as I can find no help within FIREFOX on GMX settings that deal with these settings. Windows 11 Pro and firefox version 152.0.6 64 bit. Facebook reply emojiis stopped working a few updates ago. I have been all over youtube and tech sites trying to resolve this issue but no luck. The emojii images do not appear inside the emojii box but mousing over the area shows the underlying response. Clicking on that invisible emojii works. Is there a way to get the emojii images back?
