In respect of data on your iPhone, you will not be able to import it directly from Safari, but will be able to use Firefox Sync to sync data from Firefox on your macOS computer.

Using the method you recommend allowed me to migrate only my bookmarks, but not my passwords. Still stuck for those. I'd rather not add them one at a time, if there's any other way around it. So far, no such luck. But thanks for the advice.

You could try exporting the Safari passwords to a .csv file and importing that file into Firefox. To do that you have to change the following preference to true. Enter about:config in the address bar. You have to restart Firefox after making that change. signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled
