I'm missing the ability to upload screenshots and quickly share the URL. I'd like to re-implement the feature and set the upload location to my own web server. Any thoughts?

Hi radar81, Firefox Screenshots could help you with this, however, Firefox is a browser - not a mail service. See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-screenshots

Previously Firefox Screenshots had the ability to upload a screenshot to mozilla's server, but this function was removed within the last few months. I would like to modify how the functionality of Firefox screenshots works, such that I can click a button that allows me to upload a Firefox Screenshot to a web server that I control. Once the screenshot has been uploaded, I would like the URL to be automatically copied to my Windows clipboard. I understand that this function doesn't currently exist.

Is there already a plugin that offers this function? If not, is this function something that a could hire a developer to build a plugin for? Is someone on this board interested in working on it? If not, what skils/competencies does the developer need to be proficient in?

I just toyed with the Email Link button. After taking a screenshot and copying it, I was able to Email Link and paste the shot into the body of the message which already included the url.

Is that sort of what you are looking for?

I don't see an email link button on Firefox Screenshots. Here's what I see: http://prntscr.com/oniq2s

If I click on Copy, I get a dialog box that says "your screenshot has been copied to the clipboard. click ctrl+v to paste" http://prntscr.com/oniqq6 This allows me to paste an image of the screenshot. This is not what I am trying to achieve. I want a button that allows me to quicly upload and host the screenshot at a public URL (preferably on a web server that I control, but a cloud service like Dropbox/Onedrive would be acceptable).

When the Upload button is clicked I want the following functions

  1. upload to web server
  2. copy URL of uploaded file to windows clipboard
