Every time I click on the Firefox icon, it opens a new window or instance of Firefox?

I am working in Linux, but it is the same problem asked before. Whenever I click on the Desktop icon, it opens a new window of Firefox. Originally, it would just pull up the already started instance of Firefox thus making it easier to keep up with Firefox. I have one customer that has started so many new windows of Firefox he has become frustrated at trying to close them all. There should be an option to do either, open a new window or use the one already started.

Your system details show that you are running Fedora. Can you please confirm that is the distribution of Linux that you are currently experiencing issues on?

Also, there should be an updated version of Firefox available for the Linux operating system (currently 43.0.4). Please try updating to the latest version of Firefox and see if your issue has been patched.

For more information on how to update Firefox on your computer, please refer to this Mozilla support article:

If updating doesn't fix your issue, please report this bug on Bugzilla so that the developers can take a look. I've experienced issues similar to this on other Linux distributions while using other applications.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
