Getting too many Fire Fox pop-up messages to update and restart.

Any way to prevent so many, or do updates once a month, or turn it off?

Cannot do my work on laptop when important tabs are open and get the annoying pop up to update sometimes 3 times a week

Sometimes restart does not bring back all tabs, or where sites and paragraphs you were reading

And seems if you do not update, they corrupt your computer functioning

All over this site it says how great it is and what it does but no where does it say what the current version is or even what the version of the downloads are. You tube says multiple versions are not playable on this version yet this is the current version i am using. Software developers have really hit low levels of Not KISS.

How to keep an older version of firebox and eliminate a newer version?

PC amateur here and today is 9/20/2026; I am now using the next older version of Firefox which I retrieved from my desktop Firefox icon because about a year and a half ago this older version of Firefox got automatically updated to a newer version which is horrible, asking me to go through endless routines going in circles about getting me signed on with Microsoft and more and which keeps coming back every time after I login to my PC, so I have to delete it from my window and replace it with this one. What, if anything, could be done to eliminate this newer version of Firefox?

Unbelievable! Talk about irony. I just got the latest Firefox update. What was it touting? "We've blocked MORE of the pop-up ads!!" And what did it include? A pop-up advertisement from Mozilla. I just wanted to find out if that was a gag, a one-off incident, or someone pirating Mozilla's new update to show that it doesn't do what their touting.

after the recent update every time I got full screen i can see my task bar and I have to tab out and back in to get rid of it ive tried dpi settings Firefox config settings and it just doesn't work

I've been a user of Firefox for many, many years but I think I'm ready to switch to another browser. Every time Firefox updates, it deposits a shortcut on my desktop that I have to delete. I already have it installed in my start toolbar so I do not need it on my desktop. People will say "no big deal, just delete it" That is my point, I shouldn't have to, give me the option in Settings to install it or not.

I have resurrected a PPC ( 32bit) Mac G5 to Ubuntu 14.04, the installed foxfire version is 28.0, canonical 1.0.

I can not access the internet, as expected, due to an unsure connection.  

Is there a way for me to upgrade foxfire? Can I fix the secure connection issue and use still https? Is there a dependence that is needed? What do you suggest? thxs Mart

I don't know if the F/F updates are legit; I used to get updates, once in while.Lately seems updates are every few days or everyday.Not sure if these are spam or getting hacked?

I am running Firefox version 155.0.1 under Windows 10. I am receiving Extended Security Updates. When I update Firefox with the automatic updater it replaces the old version with the new one and everything runs fine but the automatic updater fails to clear the leftover registry key from the previous installation. This leaves me with two versions of Firefox listed on the Apps & features page. In order to avoid having this extra entry I have been uninstalling Firefox and then running the installation program to update to the next version. Uninstall removes both entries, but if try using the automatic updater again, once again it fails to clear the leftover registry key from the previous installation. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue. With the frequency of updates being released, I would like to update with the automatic updater without having to remove the ghost registry key each time or resorting to uninstalling the previous version before running the install program.
