Password manager will not save passwords automatically or when entered manually
115.40.0esr on Mac OS High Sierra v. 10.13.6
When attempting to enter log in information automatically, the expected notification appears and is confirmed, but the "Logins & Passwords" repository remains empty.
When attempting to enter log in info manually, from the "Logins & Passwords"page, the error message "an error occurred while trying to save this password" pops up after filling the fields under "Create New Login" and hitting the "Save" button.
I know I'm working on borrowed time with this setup, but I'd like to squeeze as much life as I can out of this old Mac, and having a functioning password manager is high priority.

Password manager works as expected in Troubleshoot Mode. Now to find that pesky extension! Thank you for the help!

When you open Browser Console (Shift+Command+J), clear its contents (trashcan icon), and then repeat the steps while keeping the console around — does it log any interestingly sounding errors?

Anything interesting here?

I was only able to find references to this console warning in automation, i.e. when there's very fast filling in of forms. But you seem to be unable to actually read and/or write the store from the management page:(
Can you try restarting into Troubleshoot Mode (from Help menu) in case there's an extension getting in a way somehow?

UNs and passwords are saved and stored in Troubleshoot Mode, but disappear when restarting in normal mode.
