Customize the "Vertical tabs" and/or sidebar?
Coming from Vivaldi, and prior to that Opera Presto. I wonder if there is a way to customize the sidebar to get the bookmark folder to "Expand on hover", or to expand the sidebar button to a few pixels on the entire left side, and keep the tabs on top?
I know this was possible last time I used FF, maybe 10 years ago between Presto and Vivaldi. But I don’t remember if it was a browser config or add-on!?

Not sure how easy you may find it, but research [userChrome.css] which allows a user to change the way the browser lays out, including what would happen if you hover over any part.
