Folders with new e-mails displaye din searate panel at top of folders list
In a prior version of Thunderbird all the folders with new e-mails were grouped together in a separate pane that appeared at the top of the folders list. In the latest version of thunderbird, this feature appears to have disappeared. Is there a way to restore this feature?

I don't know the feature you describe. When you go to View > Folders > .... which folder view is enabled? Maybe you used "Unified Folders"?
Thanks for the quick response. You pointed me in the right direction. After some fiddling around I found that by selecting "All Folders" and "Unread Folders" under View > Folders I got the desired results. "Unread Folders" is displayed up top and "All folders" is displayed below that. That allows me to see all the folders with unread e-mails quickly without having to scroll through the entire list to find them. It still provides a complete list of folders below that if I have to do some rearranging or what ever. Again, thanks for your help.
