Firefox asking permission to access apps and services connected to local network devices, but the website is mine and I know the addresses it's trying to access.

Firefox is requesting access to apps and services on local network devices. However, this is happening on my own website and none of the requests it's making is to local network devices.

I use Azure storage accounts for image hosting and I have noticed that until I accept the dialog, the images are not loaded. However, this is not my local network.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Thanks.

The only relation with LNA might be if you authenticate into the service from somewhere else on the system using the default browser for the flow, e.g. github.com/WICG/local-network-access/issues/12

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, that's not the case. The authentication is a basic session cookie and its own login system.

So, after testing on other devices, this seems to happen on my work-issued laptop, which is VPN connected. I don't know what firefox considers to be part of my office network, but I wasn't able to reproduce this from personal devices.

Could you open about:networking in both cases when you reach that site triggering the dialog, and see what IP it resolves to in the "DNS" tab? Would it be possible that on the corporate network it's connecting to the cloud using private range as 172.16.x.x for a reason?
