Bookmark list is duplicated on multiple devices
Using Firefox on our Mac and Iphones. For some reason, when I go to view the bookmark list, it is duplicated.
The main list is as expected, A,B,C, etc. At the bottom of the list it starts again with the same folders and bookmarks. This shows up on both devices. If I delete one folder, it deletes both folders from all lists and devices.
Not sure how to fix this

Hi rkmarsh3,
I can't find a bug report related to this for iOS. I'd suggest signing out of your Mozilla account in Firefox on your iPhone, then signing back in to see if that resolves the issue.

Well I signed out of Firefox on the phone and the Mac. Stopped and quit Firefox and even going in without logging in, the duplicate bookmark list is there.
So deleted Firefox from phone, re-installed, signed in, and the problem still is there.
Could you let us know:
- Do the duplicate bookmarks appear only on your iPhone, or on your other synced devices as well?
- If you create a new bookmark now, does it also appear twice?
it is not ios related. i have the same problem and i use FF on: - bazzite linux main computer - popOS linux laptop - at least 6 windows devices - older version at work in a secured browser - android phone - android tablet - ipad pro tablet i exported my bookmarks, told claude-ai to remove duplicates. Out of 52000 (fiftytwo THOUSAND) bookmarks, it reduced it about 120. it's not duplicated, it's times 500!!!!! why is there no "this is the main computer - use this to sync to all devices" button? or a "remove all bookmarks from my account" ??
i think i have to delete my account, create a new one, then sync from 1 device to the account with my imported, cleaned by AI, bookmarks html file.
i quote the AI: "That sync mess was worse than it looked — your original file had 3,552 folders and 52,923 bookmarks, but almost all of it was repeated content. Specifically:
"Mozilla Firefox" folder: duplicated 512 times at the top level "Bookmarks bar" folder: duplicated 512 times at the top level The "Recent Tags" link under Mozilla Firefox was also duplicated 512x along with it" as 512 is a perfect 2^9 - it might be a bug!?
Worst of all: opening the bookmark manager and deleting does not work, it's probably too much data for the browser to handle....
