I can't log into chase.com from Firefox, which I've been doing for years. I get an outage message. But down detector shows nothing. It went on for days so I tried Microsoft Edge with Bing and it works. Is there some Firefox setting I need to change?

Hi

Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox?

Thanks so much for answering! Yes, I do have add-ons, but nothing new. AdBlocker for YouTube Consent-o-matic Malwarebyes Kamo Regrets Reporter

You appear to have a non-standard Firefox user agent with "LikeWise/96.6.6845.46" appended:

  • Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:150.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/150.0 LikeWise/96.6.6845.46

Thanks. I'm not sure where to find that.

I did disable all five of the add-ons listed above, and it didn't help. I've been using them for years and have had no trouble logging into chase until now.

Can you please tell me where to look for the Likewise agent? I have no idea what that is. Or where it is.

I'm finding that daunting. I'll revisit when I have a lot of time to try to figure it out. In the meantime, does it matter that I'm working on a Windows 11 desktop, and my firefox info still says Windows 10? Again, there has been no problem with chase from this machine and firefox for months.

The same user reported issues accessing Comcast earlier https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1554022 logging yet another UA browser trailer — it's either one of the plugins, or some "security" or "privacy" feature of an anti-virus or endpoint protection bundle that messes up with the browser's user agent — which then gets rejected by the big provider's protection platforms.

Based on the add-on list I'm betting my money on CCleaner's Kamo: https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/extraneous-product-version-combinations-in-user-agent-ex-herring-94-1-8750-51-openwave-96-4-6033-34/107587

Thank you, jbr. Kamo can indeed be like having a paranoid relative stalking around the house locking things you want to use. I will try to figure this out.
