When watching twitch and open another tab the new tab is very slow to open the web page and some wont open at all

When watching twitch and I open another tab, the new tab is very slow to open a web page and sometimes wont open at all just keeps scrolling. Any suggestions how to solve this problem?? I tried with Opera and it doesnt have that problem?? Dont want to give up on Firefox as I like it the most. Any help much appreciated.
