What is the cause and remediation of my constant Firefox notification about the geolocation database being updated?

Hmm, I've never seen that one. By any chance, have you installed this extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/android/addon/server-status/
It seems to have an option for daily IP geolocation database updates as well as an option to show notifications.
