beta 134.0b2 - sluggish imap responses
As indicated, when checking messages, indicator shows that imap is being queried but it takes forever to load the messages. This may have been happening in beta 133.xx too.

But you think it was not happening in 132? 132 started in October https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/132.0beta/releasenotes/
I couldn't say exactly when it began; it's only on my radar recently.
