I have a subcription to the New York Times, but I haven't seen any emails from them since Friday. However, I have seen their articles show up on the computer screen, but when I check email, they are nowhere to be found.

I suggest first checking your online account to see if they are showing up there. If not, the problem is not with Thunderbird, but elsewhere.
