Hi Mozilla!

In Thunderbird 91.2.1:

1. Select a message (HTML or plain text). 2. Select Forward as a plain text message. 3. In the Write window, select its Close button.

Usually, the result is a Save Message dialog, requiring selection of "Discard changes", even though no changes have been made.

This behavior started quite a few releases ago.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Thanks for looking at this, David Archer

I would have said to not prompt would be a bug. So perhaps someone fixed something that was broken.
