Minimize, maximize and close buttons missing

I had to re-install Windows 10 from scratch and then all my programs. I downloaded Thunderbird 60.0 and linked to my old profile. All folders are there and mail works fine. But the minimize, maximize and close icons that normally appear at the top right of any Windows programs are missing. I just have a calendar and task icon. How do I get them back? Please See screen shot of upper right corner.

Turned on the PC this morning and everything looked normal. Minimize & close icons were back and I can add themes. Maybe it was indexing or rebuilding after my re-install and just needed more time.
