Does anyone know of a replacement for Lazarus?

more options

Like many others, I've been using Lazarus for years with great success. So much so, I sent a donation for the add-on. I used it as long as I could. I know I could download an older version of FF and simply not upgrade. I don't want to do that. Little by little, FF has been running too slow, until it reached the point where it felt like I was on dial up. When I started FF in safe mode, WOW! It FLEW! So obviously it's an add-on causing the problem. I don't have many, but the ones I have, I want. I'm not sure which one is causing the problem, but I'm guessing it must be a compatibility issue with my other add-ons and the level of FF I'm using. My only choice at this point is to replace Lazarus with something that is supported and works with the latest levels of FF. Anyone have a recommendation? I need it to fill in the dialogue boxes, for posting comments on various sites in case it doesn't take the first time. That's all I care about it doing. Any offers of suggestions for a replacement or offers for speeding up FF is much appreciated! My add-ons are: Lazarus New Tab Homepage Safe Browsing Version 4 UBlock Origin ADBlock Plus (disabled for now) Decentraleyes (disabled for now)

Thank you!

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/textarea-cache-lite/ is a good lazarus replacement, it's what I switched to myself.

Just go ahead and uninstall Adblock plus, you don't need it if you have ublock origin.

Thank you for the suggestion Tyler. I tried it, but it didn't work for me, not where I needed it. When I tested it, the data area was completely blank. It didn't save a single keystroke out of the sentences I wrote. I write a lot of posts on Care2 and many times Care2 will lose the post. Unfortunately, text area cache isn't saving what is typed into the new post window.

I took your advice and deleted Adblock. I had kept it until I saw whether I liked UBlock better and then forgot about it or why I still had it.

If Textarea Cache Lite doesn't work on some sites, you can report that to the developer here:

https://github.com/ettoolong/TextareaCache/issues

Hopefully they can figure out what's different about that site and make the extension compatible, or explain why they can't.
