Please provide a hyperlink to that website or exact page where that is happening, so we can see the problem for ourselves. Sounds like some configuration is not working correctly for you and you're not getting the PDF files that are posted there.

For me, those open in Firefox's built-in PDF Viewer. Was that your experience before, or were you opening them in the Adobe Acrobat viewer? This article describes how to switch between them: View PDF files in Firefox or choose another viewer.

It's also possible that a cached file or old cookie is interfering with your use of the site. If you haven't already tried this, please do:

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:

• right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
• Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Tried the clearing of firefox cache. No improvement. Do not want to disable the Adobe reader XI. This is the only web site that I have a PDF problem with.

Could you describe your current setting for PDFs. Does Firefox usually display the Open/Save/Cancel dialog, or launch them immediately in Adobe Reader outside of Firefox?
