how do I remove firefox 3.0.9 from my computer?

I went to the uninstall a program place w/nothing else happening on my computer. I had removed some games, that was no problem. When I tried to uninstall firefox 3.0.9 the hourglass flashed at me a couple times and nothing else happened. I gave it an hour tried again. Still nothing. The computer is currently running windows 7 home premium I think the system was windows XP when firefox was installed

Are the Firefox 3.0.9 files still present on the computer?

It happens often that the updater leaves behind uninstall entries of a previous Firefox version in the Windows registry and fails to remove them.
