Firefox SSL security exception expiration
Is there an expiration for Firefox SSL security exceptions?

Hmm, old site certificates will eventually expire. Maybe that's the problem?
Or maybe the exception is the reason you can get into the site, but Firefox is reminding you that it's not a secure connection?

To clarify my question, when the browser determine an SSL cert invalid, it displays a warning page; the user can override the warning by clicking a button to proceed to the site anyway. This adds an exception for that site in Firefox. This is the image attached. My question is : does this exception for the site ever expire?

If the problem was an unverified issuer and you save the exception, I imagine the exception will stop working when the saved certificate expires. But otherwise, why would it stop working?
You can check this in the Certificate Manager under the Servers tab.
