I get you will tell me it is a "security issue" let me be frank, I don't care. I have thought this through for this application. now, we need to be able to remove the annoying "update avalible" popup. yes it only takes 2 min. yes, it seems to want to do it every week. Let me have the option to choose my own decisions.

The only option to completely disable updates (not recommended) would be to set the DisableAppUpdate option in either Windows Group Policy or a policies.json file. This is intended for enterprise environments only.

Running older versions of Firefox is genuinely a security risk. The developers work very hard to fix issues that come to their attention. While this includes new features and patches for certain other performance issues, most updates come with a fair amount of security fixes. You can see these in the release notes of each version. Each update comes with usually between 10-30 security fixes.

When you are talking about something like an internet browser, it's vital that you keep it up to date since it's your main portal to the internet.
